I agree with your take on the Lamborghini Murcielago for example. It feels like driving a high speed truck. But the Koenigsegg CCGT feels fantastic to me with assists on, and much more competitive than the Saleen S7R for track racing where top speed matters. And even if the CCGT doesn't corner as well as the Saleen, its explosive acceleration helps make up for it. I'd even go as far as saying that in the GT1 category, the CCGT outright smokes everything else.
The Honda NSX and Toyota Supra also free pretty good with assists on, so the entire line of Japanese Pro Tuned cars IMO feels quite balanced.
Personally I do like BMW more and use it offline races but Chevrolet was more capable in online aggressiveness.
