jbird122, I haven't played in a good long while so I can't do much to help. But if you join the forums at www.riseofflight.com you'll find a super helpful community.

I think the assignments are the defaults. I use the panning to look around, because I find snap views too restrictive. I have movement speed, FOV changing speed and rotation speed all set halfway. Movement inertion and FOV inertion are at 2/3ds. And Rotation inertion is set to full.

I also have a button on the top of my joystick assigned to snap to centre view. This is because when you use panning to look around, it's hard to return to your normal viewpoint with the hat switch.

I hope this helps, if not keep asking :)

Can you pls show me your setup with hat switch ? I heard you got a trhustmaster 16000? I got the thrustmaster hotas x flight stick they are similar
Jorri  [author] 24 Oct, 2013 @ 1:48pm
No, you really don't What you need is a joystick. I have a second setup in my house with just a joystick, where I look around with the 'HAT'-switch. It works very well. Some of the best pilots in Rise of Flight, use the mouse to look around. I could never get used to that, but they did. Of course TrackIR makes it easier, but I don't need to tell you that. There are cheaper alternatives as well, though: there's FreeTrack, and I hear FaceTrackNoIR works as well.

Ok but do i really need trackir to play this, because track ir is so expensive
Jorri  [author] 24 Oct, 2013 @ 11:57am
Yes I am! I didn't make these videos, though, that was Requiem. But he uses TrackIR as well.
