Ok but this is only a defense against boarding raiders.

Some raiders just launch a few large grid torpedos at parked ships and use sphere gravity generators to suck up any loot comming off of the destroyed cargo containers

so maybe also add a few reverse sphere gravity generators to deflect torpedos with artificial masses, and make it harder for boarders, and if you have the PCU to spare maybe put a normal grav generator on a rotor and make the grav field really high and wide to not only deflect torpedos, but also annoy boarders with sporadic gravity.

AND you can add detectors that activate on asteroids, these can be used to stop the ship, because detector range is relatively small it wont stop a crash but it can sure soften the blow

@wimn2: Yup that's a great idea c= some people have suggested that too on the video page and comment section, would cost a little bit more PCU though (I'm really cheap on PCU:P)

What if you also strategically placed gravity generators throughout your ship that would be activated by the anti theft system to either propel raiders away or crush them if they tried to land?

Thanks Warden! And yeah being hidden is the best line of defense and my anti-theft method is for when someone does found your ship, and most big servers (or any of the official ones) don't have scripts enabled though for performance reason

Honest truth is, your best bet is always going to be just putting the ship somewhere no one would ever normally go, some random location far off the plane of the planets. You do that, and no one is going to find you, ever. I like this, though. It's a clever system and would definitely make capturing a ship near-impossible. If you want to be even more evil, you could incorporate a defense drone script that would have it launch defensive drones.

@Manio: You can no longer activate jump drive with sensor / timer block :P you need someone seated on the ship to pick "Yes" after the jump drive is initiated
Manio 18 Jun, 2019 @ 6:05am
I made a similar once, but in it the sensor activated a jump drive, jumping the ship on a blind spot some many kms away.
