Note: These screenshots were taken before I optimized the map, just letting you all know that (And I replaced the transport helicopters with the attack helicopters).

Description:

The Lost Town of Beganar is a medium sized, modern themed urban / desert map that pits the British Special Forces, and the Middle Eastern Coalition at both the west and east sides of Beganar, with capture points scattered inside, and outside of the town. Filled with piles of sand, buildings, and palm trees, the two have to work together using their land and air vehicles in order to take the coast.

Mission Briefings:

BSF: One of our tank divisions altered into the south to complete our encirclement of the oil fields near Highway Tampa, and while there was rapid progress, a dust storm had suddenly breezed in, and had crippled our ability to move with ease. Fortunately, we had found a couple towns that would be usable as both a launch off point for our supplies, as well as for invasion. Take the town quickly to complete the encirclement.

MEC: The opposing force are attempting to encircle us with their many tanks, and helicopters. The town located south is a good place to prevent that from happening, considering that the town was abandoned by the people, and there are a lot of sandstorms that had wiped the area with force, and due to the sand kicking in hard this time, sandy hills were created, giving us the advantage to hit our opposition hard. With the forces we have in the area, it is crucial that we defend the town, as well as the areas surrounding them to stop their forces from pushing us into the sea, where our remaining forces in the area would be destroyed, thus completing their encirclement.

I decided to make this map, because I felt inspired by the map, Backstab from Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, and I wanted to make a map that was kind of similar to that one, and this was the result. And yes, I am using the Middle Eastern Coalition as a faction for pretty much a lot of my upcoming maps taken place in the desert (I might add in the Insurgents faction from BF2: Special Forces in some of them if I plan on doing that).

When I played this map with the highest recommendation I gave in terms of bots, the frames dipped like ♥♥♥♥. The buildings were simple, yet the bot count apparently made the frames dip like that. I thought that I was going to scrap the map, because I really want to stay consistent with the whole thing revolving around performance in terms of my maps, but I did my best to optimize the map by removing some buildings, and also setting the pixel error all the way up. It still dips a bit, the worst it got was in the 30s for me with mods intact.
