This may help you all ;-D

Log out of your games and go to your library

Go into the properties of Dragons Prophet

The first tab will have...
"enable Steam community ingame" (with a little ticked checkbox in front)

Uncheck it!!

That's it !!

It fixed it for me and many others, as it seems this game freaks out when Steam does anything in the background and the program doesn't like that.

The only thing that crashes for me is pulling off a headshot for Ranger. Any way to fix that? Im assuming not

i found out a few days later that the reckless shot ability for the ranger's is what crashed my game not steam

I did everything correctly but my game still crashes every few minute i have to keep turning it off and going back on it's really annoying especially when fighting bosses

It sounds like you will have to google the proper method of editing the local config ini file and set the startup window to be the same or a bit smaller than your current rez. Then you can run it and set it up properly. Others have your issue and solved it, in european forums, is the answer I believe...

also the create character symbols are lower then I think they are, its almost like the screen is either to big and has shifted to the right but its lame to have this issue.

So just downloaded the game but when it takes me to the login screen/server screen I am missing a part of my screen on the right side? not sure if anyone else had or has this problem and any thoughts to fix it would be great.

This actually makes some sense...On my other rig, I have the DP launcher loaded minus steam and it never crashes. Now if only I weren't so burned out on the game to try it out...
