if so careful of flash and qt
ms hates them now

For some reason QT did not install automatically for me, I tried your advice of installing the latest but I recommend against using the latest QT (7.9 Pro) from apple, the cinematics did not work for me - the version found in the install folder (QT 7.4) worked fine.

I possess a Win 7 as well, it's played before, so I do not really need to Downgrade much further.

I am aware of Win11 failures with old programs, however My current Win 11 only does gaming, so I am not too worried

its kinda the same, win 11 is terrible with QT as its no longer allowed on MS os's
BUT
one thing to do for win 10 or 11 is to also disable dpi as most use insane fps hz and aspects
for really old games like this Id go as far as checking disable on all the boxes in compat
this helps old old games

pls note QT has not been supported by ms in oh forever now.
its seens as malware so. new os's wont run it, unless you
1. turn off windows active scanner
2. disable the need for forced auth MS only certs and drivers

this then leaves the os unable to update soo

I suppose it's the same. However, I recommend you to either keep using Windows 10 or take the step and switch OS to Linux.

so you want it to run?
you have to FORCE open windows
this means in bios and MS you must disable req for whql ONLY meaning windows certified apps and reg keys will NEVER work on win 11 or 12 as the old stuff isnt certified


its like running an OLD printer on win 11
you MUST disable protections to do so

personally I like this game alot but last I played was xp with the original cd set
