Basic tips:

- You can carry water to drink or to boil or to put out fire. Use coconut+rope to craft a water bidon.

- If you find coconut on the ground look up to the tree. You can use arrows, spear even throw stones to get 2 more.

- Never get dirty or stay dirty for a long time. It couses parasites when you eat.

- You can drink unsafe or even dirty water. Collect brown mushrooms from lying logs or blue mushrooms from large trees or kivi kind of green fruit and eat them to kill the parasites. Even you can eat fresh meat if you kill the parasites later.

- If it is rainy season built your fire place in a cave or under a roof. If you start a fire during day time probably natives will see it. In the cave they will not.

- Always put out your fire by splashing some water on it. So you can set fire again without collecting all the woods.

- You don't need bird nest to make fire, you can use harvested leaf or dried small plants too.

- You can boil dirty water to gain fresh water, you can add meat, bone or vegetable to make a soup. Use coconut shells or tortoise shell on the fire. Tortoise shell gives twice of the resources because it is bigger.

- Never sleep on the ground but if you do, you can remove skin worms using fish bones or harvested bone needles. Put some leaf bandages after removing it.

- Always take care of your wounds without delay. If you have an infection use maggots (from spoiled food) to clean necrotic tissue and honey bandages to heal.

- If you got venom bite, make a palm bed to rest (easy and quick), collect mushrooms to kill parasites and drink a lot of water from any source. If there are not mushrooms around, parasites are better than dying from thirst.

- When you discover drier or smoker from the camps, you can dry meats. Dried meats lasts 5 days before spoiled. Build smoker or drier under a roof or in a cave to protect from rain.

- You can carry 5 long sticks or 3 logs or 6 leaves in one time.

- If you have to fight with a predator or natives, cross a deep river or get in a cave. Fight from distance with arrows if possible. Even one arrow wound will kill the natives in a short time. Do not throw and and lose your limited spears. ( L-shift stabilises the arrow)

- Obsidian blade or spears are better than stone ones. Iron is the best but harder to craft.(stone+obsidian+rope=blade)

- Bow and arrows are great for fishing or to kill enemies but a spear is more useful to hunt tapir like animals. Aim for the head for a one-shot kill. Wounded animals run to the jungle and usually disappear with the spear.

- You can improve your weapon skills by practising on a tortoise. Just don't harvest it accidentally.

- Kill every armadillo (aim head) and make an armor. You can equip 4 of them. Kill and make a better one, even if you have full armor. Armadillo shell+2 ropes+banana leaf crafts the armor. You can craft bone or stick armor if you don't have the armadillo shell.

- Armor protects you from predator inflicted wounds. Check every one of them after a fight. Replace the broken one with armadillo shell or stick or bone armor without delay. (3 stick/bone+banana leaf+2 ropes)

- Yellow snails (cooked), long green fruits, camp fire, cooked/dried food and sleeping heals your sanity.

- Follow the muddy road to find the car crash site at the northern part of the map. There is a nice water container and an essential climbing rope here to explore the bigger map. (In story mode climbing equipment is in a different location)

Explore native camps or abandoned settlements to learn new craftables, wash your hands often, eat, drink, and rest regularly, don't hurry.

With this basic skills , you can be the "king of the jungle" and enjoy this great game without suffering. And remember there are tons of other stuff to discover, create and build.
