Introduction

This is a brief guide on how to colour both in game chat and lobby names.

The principle of colouring type in Damned is based on conventional RGB Hex codes.

How to Colour

To colour text in both the in game chat and lobby names you must prefix a 6 digit hexadecimal colour code with the # symbol.

Straight after the # symbol is used the following 6 characters are assumed to be the 6 digit hexadecimal code.

You can have more than one colour code in any given sentence.

The codes do not need to be spaced and therefore adding spaces either side will add spaces into your sentence.

Example:
#FF0000This Sentence will be red.

#FF0000This is red. #00FF00This is green.

Examples

#FF0000The beginning of this sentence is red until #00FF00here where it becomes green.

This part of the sentence is the default colour,#FF0000 however this section is red.

#FF0000This sentence will have 2 spaces here -->" #00FF00 #FF0000"<-- As there was a space either side of the colour code.

#FF0000The following words show that you do not need to space the colour code: #0000FFExa#00FF00mple, #0000FFExa #00FF00mple, #0000FFExa#00FF00 mple, #0000FFExa #00FF00 mple.

Unfortunately, as of update 0.72a (released on 24/3/14) the colouring in chat has been disabled. It seems it can now only be used in lobby names.

It's not working, th "#" symbol is literally the only symbol I can not type in chat for some reason... did they remove this feature, or is my game just fucked up?
