I would much rather be locked into Therion (for his lockpick, as mentioned) or as Olberic.
Also some notes:
I prefer Primrose over Ophelia because she has the dancer attack Bewildering Grace. Its great because randomly it will increased the JP/XP earned in a battle. This really helps with leveling up characters faster. Once you unlock the Cleric and Merchant subclass (or StarSeer subclass much later), you can get BP much faster and use the Cleric Divine Skill to get a Double Cast, giving you potentially 8 chances of Bewildering Graces to increase JP/XP.
As for Olberic vs. H'aanit, with H'aanit you can capture monsters with a variety of weapon types, elements, multi casts to have more variety Provoking villagers early in the game. Olberic initially lacks variety till he gets a subclass and even that will take a while to level up a different class. But both of them balance out as battle choices end game.
