Trader ships

Description
Adds trader spaceships to the game. Ships will visit your colony, preferring landing pads (either from royalty expansion, or landing zone designation added by this mod), and trade with you just like visiting caravans, without the need for trade beacons or comm console. Trader ships are meant to replace orbital traders, but you can set both to be active in settings.

Ship traders use same inventories as orbital traders. Mods that add more traders, like Let's Trade, are compatible: you'll get traders from those mods as trade ships.

Does not require Royalty.

This mod should be safe to add to a save game. Removing it when the ship is mid-flight will break the game (black screen and constant error messages). Otherwise, you will get some error lines in log but game should recover.

Sometimes I get trade ships that have the same inventory as visitors. Is that intentional?

It happens with only this mod loaded, so it's not some compatibility issue either.

I got a quest to sell pelt coats from a trader ship. It said that if I accept the quest, the ship would land to retrieve the items but after I accepted the quest, no ship landed and the game crashes whenever I try to save. I'm going to have to skip these quests from now on.

Ship gave me a quest, needing resource. I had it in my base. Could not finish it, because "your caravan does not have xxx resource" but it was in my base beside the landed ship. Forming caravan a does nothing. Any idea? Not even dev mod was of help...

If I’m using Save our Ship 2 will the trader ships end up spawning in my ship or is it patched for it

I still wish the beacons did something; they're just empty items now. Maybe increase the frequency of trader ships?
