  • OF = an average of +1.2 sec penalty in the pits, this penalty is included bellow (doesn't apply for race start))
Raw Possible Combinations || Over-fuel Mode
Seconds Gain is a very rough calculation, there are too many factors that could change this. therefor you got to make the right decision if its worth the over-fuel penalty.*

Context
Greetings fellow Manager!

First i would like to apologies for placing the context of the information above at the bottom of the guide.

The main reason for this is so during the game you can simply open your steam overlay and select this guide quickly from your favorites and doing so will present you straight away with all the information you need without the need of scrolling or anything of that kind.

Tables Information
First a disclaimer:
I'm a very new player to this game, by the time of writing this i have 100hrs on it (which is not much compared to many others), and all of the information above is from information i gathered from numerous guides and tested during my playthroughs to exact results.

The Tables
The Tables should be pretty self explanatory. My idea was to ease the process of selecting a lap strategy for your races.
With the tables above you can easily put to work one of the possible strategies and knowing that they will work.

The results of the strategies will vary as there are many factors like driver's abilities, circuits tire wear modifiers, traffic, etc. But for the most part this tool should make your life easier regardless the situation.

Also this Tables were built especially for Medium length settings in game, since i dont play either of the other two, i can't possibly predict how will this work with those settings, In general the Data is the same and up to 13 laps you should be fine with the above, anything above that you will have to figure it out.

All the information was gathered from other amazing guides, which if you would like to learn the insights of how i came about these strategies, you should check up and give them a thumbs up in the process as those people spent a lot of time doing those. The links to the sources will be bellow.

TLDR
How to use?

For a 4 Lap Strategy, check the table - you will fuel your car with 4L of fuel, and will run 2 laps full on Normal Mode and 2 Laps on High mode. by the end you will have no fuel Left & would have gained -1sec on your laptime over any other possible combination with that load.

Important Note: You must be exact when switching mods, even a second over the lap finish will cause miss calculations, which you need to compensate for, for example if you didnt switch from Over take to High at the right time, you will need to drive a bit on normal to compensate.

Basically Self explanatory, follow the strategies & adapt to the unexpected. Good luck! :D

Changelog
Version 1.1
  • After careful testing of the guide i found out that while the fuel ratings are indeed .35 and .45, in game, these calculation make it that some lap strategies that are very much on the edge, will lead to you running out of fuel, or even a whole lap short.

This is now Fixed, i have remade all the calculations based on round decimal numbers keeping your gains maxed, and the chances of you running out of fuel to the minimum. at the same time you can now really see a much more streamlined gains.
  • Attempt to make the table easier to read.

Version 1.0
  • Guide Release
  • Added lap 12 Data.

Has anybody noticed how the tires are named Brutus and Cortez like brute and court? It's a hint. Cortez tires carry a higher penalty for running low temperature. You need to keep them in range. Brutus tires are generally easier to play because you can outlast the AI on cold tires and just pick them up on their pitstop or worn tires.
Brutus play court. Cortez play brute! If you mix this up you're doomed :D

Hey i haven't played the game for a very long time, but as far as i remember and as far as i looked around again for you, Super over take is a performance improvement you unlock as you progress, and is a improved version of overtake at the cost of fuel, and if i remember right it was also limited to some resource. But i assure you its a thing XD

I play on long and so far I've had great luck. Now I need to get the tyres situated.

while you are correct on the 17 laps count, i haven't verified this works with every combination, for example if you add 2 5 laps strategy wont be as effective as the 10 lap strategy i calculated. With that said, with your way you will either be correct or lose minimal time and leave you with spare fuel which you could adjust during the race. bascially if you are crossing the racing line at 0.9 go for N - 1.1 at H and 1.4 with OT.

So still your work around ain't a bad idea :):cozyspaceengineersc:

These settings should work for other race lengths. If your stops are longer then 13 laps just use a combination of whatever laps add up to your new total. For example 17 laps would be 8 and 9 added together for 10xN 6xH and 1xOT. If you want to over fuel then use one of the over fuel modes for whatever lap total you wish.
