Description
Thirty years ago, the hindren exile Khashind learned how to survive in Qud. Today, they wish to pass on the knowledge that saved them.

Presenting the Qud Survival Guide, a tutorial mod designed to acclimate new players to the early game and pass along some helpful survival tips.

Absolutely love this mod, been installed almost the entire time I've had this game. Quick question: does having the Quills mutation lock the "Get Equipped with Body Armor" quest? I'm basically playing a cactus, and I've been stymied because I can't equip body armor.

Hello! New CoQ player using this mod to help learn the game. I, too, would love if the mod could be updated to add Controller inputs, because that's how I have to play. As a suggestion, maybe the easiest approach would be to just add in the controller version in parenthesis next to whatever is being instructed. So something like "...to do that press Space ( A/X relative controller icon).

I use a Playstation controller, so seeing the PS prompts would be a very nice feature, but if it has to be the Xbox prompts, no biggie.

Looking forward to that additional text explaining controller stuff. MOD seems awesome, but not too helpful when using the Steam Deck.

@Darkaxt I don't think it's possible for me to create reactive button prompts in dialog. I'll check with the UI team but I don't think there's support for that.

What I CAN do is put in additional text explaining controller stuff, which I can and will do, thank you for the nudge

Not sure if this has been asked before, but is there any plan to add compatibility with controllers? The bot only shows how to perform actions with mouse and keyboard and it would be great if it could detect the use of controller and swap the references.

Oh, okay, sorry. I think I'm thinking of the armor, or a previous build with the armor. I used to have to make sure it was in my inventory. Sorry for the wrong answer!

it should be equipped, if it's not working I messed something up in the implementation. I can't really troubleshoot until I'm back home in the new year, sorry

I think you need to have it in your inventory, not equipped.
