Goto your Steam\SteamApps\common\trackmania united draw.

Locate the Nadeo Configuration Settings ini.

Not the STEAM_Nadeo,DON'T EDIT THIS ONE.

Edit the Nadeo Configuration Settings ini with Notepad or WordPad.

Change the Distro to Distro=MILIN

Then download the http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/TmUnitedForever_Update_2010-03-15_Setup.exe

And browse to your Steam\SteamApps\common\trackmania united draw.a

The fix might work for some people.

There are multipile people says agp meter all way up to 100% did work for them.
none of did helped me

This is my method. i call this old method. because its quite difficult to pull it off.
Click the run.bat on the gamefiles
and click update.
It should install the updated version of the game.
after updater finishes.
Locate your gamefiles. after that game should update by itself.
yea. also tried changing distro to milin.
This is litereally common way. expect with extra steps.
