This guide is for the a complete list of nation units in MoW:AS2 and our ranking of them based on a color coded system, these tiers give you a general idea of what, and what not to buy in the game and have been thoroughly discussed by veterans of our community. They are fairly definitive in accuracy and also take into account the numerous situations that arise during combat.

Newer players should follow these tiers more strictly, as an experienced player can make usefulness out of any unit, even grey tier. Explanations for individual unit rankings will be given when deemed necessary, some of these should be fairly self explanatory.

These rankings are based on the Assault Zones gamemode and don't necessarily apply to other modes. This guide is brought to you by Jagd[discord.gg]


Ranking is dependent upon several factors, all combined under the blanket term of "usefulness" which includes, but is not limited too:

• MP cost to kill potential
• The stage of the game where said unit is available
• Average lifetime (When used correctly)

Green: Useful in almost any situation / High kill to cost ratio.


Yellow: Often useful.


Red: Rarely useful.


Grey: Almost never useful / Low kill to cost ratio.



Some units that are shared by factions have shared rankings as well, we've also grey tier'd some units that may seem "good" but aren't in light of superior alternatives for less MP or SP.

These units are mostly limited to light and stationary howitzers, some emplacements, many SP infantry and all engineer units.

Note that these tiers are not linearly better or worse than each other, yellow is by far the most all-encompassing tier, with green and black being the least common.

Soviet Tank Destroyers: Tiered low because they are all weak and overpriced, despite being fairly well armed (SU-100 is 300 more MP than the Nashorn yet it is inferior)

IS1: Basically the same thing as the KV-85 but 150 extra MP or the price of a nice squad.

Panzergrenadiers: The STG44's don't make up for the lack of MG's compared to other Elite squads and the Panzerfaust is inferior AT to Bazooka's and a Piats.

47mm Type 1: It has 10 extra range and better penetration than all other T1 AT guns. It is capable of killing T34's and Sherman's.

What is Jagd? We're an international community for English speaking Men of War players who wish to link with other regional players to ensure a quality game.

Since the games' release, the AS2 community has slowly eroded into small pockets of playerbases, our goal is to unify the community once again and to improve enjoyment of the game by promoting communication and sportsmanship between community members.

We here at Jagd understand the largest playerbase in the game is newcomers, and that these players are often turned away by the unforgiving multiplayer scene. Our community is dedicated the education of a new generation of MoW players and introducing them to the game without the hardship.
