i also had a lot of those bugs where i couldn't get the stars. what solved it for me is that whenever i came across such bug, i just closed the game and opened it again. that way i was able to collect the bugged star(s) in any location!
a strange glitch indeed :/

Maybe try to switch between full screen/windowed mode? It worked fine for me in windowed.

I'm having trouble getting star #21. although I found it near the brambles, i try to click it and nothing happens. Sometimes my I can't move if I am trying to drag the binoculars and my mouse is on the star, but otherwise it won't let me collect it. Is anyone else having this issue?
