Fix the mouse lag created by forced false fullscreen
By Grillette
Unity engine might be cool and good for games, but it's tendency to run EVERYTHING in borderless is driving me nuts. I HATE input lag, and if you are here, i assume you do too. Today, we will fix High Hell so you can start hitting those flicks!

The fix
First, you need the unity "exclusive fullscreen patch" the devs from Dusk made. Just search "dusk exclusive fullscreen patch"

As of today (2020/10/11) the patch is provided by a discord link on a steam forum page for the game dusk and the file is named "UnityEngine.CoreModule.dll. I put the download link below, but I don't know if it will always work

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/240432519990738944/501449730090598417/UnityEngine.CoreModule.dll

Once you have the file, put it in the games file, which should be around "Steam\steamapps\common\High Hell\HIGHHELL_Data\Managed"

After putting the file in "Managed", there is one last step. In steam, add the following startup command to High Hell : "-window-mode exclusive"

VOILÀ!
Now the game should be running in true fullscreen, and your mouse should feel much better.

I wish I could say I came with all this myself, but from what I understand, it's actually the same for all unity games and Dusk developper "Zombie" created the original fix (from what i understood). So thank HIM. (thx Zombie) I tried this fix for Dusk, Strafe and High Hell and it always worked.

The reason i created this guide is simply to share the good stuff with yall, I take no credits.

Now go get 'em!

OMG! I played all the way to the final boss in mission 20 without realising the jerking mouse movement was caused by this. Finally beat the boss by way of playing the game in a large window. Thank you.
