Introduction

Rogue is a simple game, but when you happen to find an object, you may fear the strange effects of a it, it may be a potion or maybe you put on a ring that turns out to be cursed, some scrolls may give you a mysterious message, but you don't know exactly what happened when you read it. This guide will help you to easily identify the usage of the items you may find throughout the game.
Potions

Potions appear with the symbol: ¡

They can be identified by looking at its colors:

Amber, aquamarine, black, blue, brown, clear, crimson, cyan, ecru, gold, green, grey, magenta, orange, pink, plaid, purple, red, silver, tan, tangerine, topaz, turquoise, vermilion, violet, white and yellow.

Quaffing a potion before you properly identify it can be fun (and dangerous too!). Try to collect a bunch of them before trying them to save yourself from a negative status effect (like blindness) by using a healing potion.

Okay weird question. The game gives the opportunity to save it. So how do I load a saved game?

Shouldn't it just detect food? Or were things weirder in Rogue than in Nethack? I figured you'd copied Enchant Weapon down an extra line...

All rings hasten up food consumption. Except the ones that reduces hunger (slow digestion).

Scrolls of food detection detects food, lol. Also adds +1 to the weapon you're wielding, just as the text says.
