How to get your joystick working (Windows only)
By Telmo "Trooper"
To get your joystick working with Oniken first press Win + R and execute joy.cpl, click Advanced, choose your preferred controller and press OK. Now you should be able to setup your input preferences on Oniken's launcher.

Note #1: Guide based on FiftyYen's solution found on Steam Community.

Note #2: The user jluiz.1981 has informed that after upgrading from Windows 7 to 8.1 the controller worked flawlessly.

These directions allow me to mash REMAP under GAMEPAD with my left mouse & press buttons on my controller while imagining I'm playing a game. The selected row doesn't even highlight to inform the user they're interacting with anything.

I noticed the D-pad response is better when you have to jump between platforms than the stick. Is this something that could be fixed? I use an Xbox controller.

Not working on Windows 10. How come? Tried every possible method, and no, i'm not gonna use joy2key or whatever that's gonna add some input lag.

If I were to buy an NES usb controller, would the method work for that also?

Just an update, after changing from Win 7 to 8.1, with the same wireless receiver and joystick, it worked without flaw.
