As far as i remember you just need the code for the padlock to the garden from one of the movies, the question mark will stay just like the handle for the archives.

Don't get confused by this, if you have the code you are done with the theater

i know this is an old thread but I'm playing the game now, i just defeated the monster one the 2nd floor theater.. I've watched film and there's still a question mark by the film room I'm so stuck and I can't believe there's not an actual walk through on this game :( can anyone help?

Thank you. This puzzle is scuffed, the clue tells you to point the compass at the wrong number.

I got it by thinking of the masks and trinkets. Compass pointing to africa i feel big brained. I didnt know there was an easier way lol

There is a painting showing the solution in one of the classrooms on the same floor.
