Definitely not emulating explosive rounds. Probably just the damage is so high because of the reduced clip size... I don't know. I've not played this game myself in quite some time... mostly other things going on. You can always go into the Mods menu and untick this mod, play a bit, re-tick it, and play again to see if it's a noticeable difference to you. Other than that, not sure what it would be.
I'm not complaining by any means, but I haven't used the vanilla rifle in a while. Is this something that's always been a possibility, or is it caused by this script?
