Windward 100% Achievement Guide

All achievements are easy to get and you will most likely get most, if not all of them just by playing the game.

NOTE All achievements are achievable by playing multiplayer, you don`t need to play singleplayer in order to get them, also there are 2 achievements that you need to play multiplayer in order to get them. The only difference between multiplayer and singleplayer is that in multiplayer you can see other people and maybe interact with them(if you choose to do so), but on singleplayer its you against all the bots. Quests can be found at any town and most are pretty quick and easy to do.

Complete two consignments at the same time

You will get this By the time you do all 50 quests for One... more... quest! achievement.

In case you are struggling: Find 1 or 2 different towns that have a same destination(for example 2 tradings goods or 1 trade and 1 smuggling), and find a town that it needs to be delivered, as long its a same destination, it doesn't matter if the quests are coming from same town or 2 different towns and what is the cargo/quest, as long it gets completed once you arrive to the town you will get this.

Open a Sealed Letter

Sealed letters can be found all over the ocean, floating(like crates). Once you get one, open it, and you will get a quest to do, its a good way to combine it with One... more... quest! achievement.

Make a town grow in size

You get town experience when you complete quests and bring goods that the town has requested.

You can combine this with One... more... quest! achievement.

Successfully complete a commission to place a Guard Tower near a town

Place a tower near a town and that's it.

While out of combat, right click on a friendly faction and click hire.

Choose a faction to play with, do high level missions and/or kill pirates. you will get this in no time.

Complete the Strange Diagram quest

On high level sea areas, you will eventually find a "strange diagram", its recommended you do it later on in game because it will be easier. The following is what you require to have and what will be asked of you:
  1. You will need a ship with higher slot capacity, the best one is the Galleon.
  2. In order to activate the quest, you will need to have a level 10 town(easiest way to do this is in multiplayer).
  3. You will require exactly 500,000 Gold, 10,000 Wood, 5,000 Metal and 3,000 Gunpowder

Find and equip your first epic item

once you reach level 20 or higher, you will get purple items left and right.

You get ship upgrades from killing enemy ships, looting floating crates or purchasing them in town shop.

This achievement is outdated, there for you only need 12 ships for this to unlock:

Equip an item that will push any stat above 1000

There is no easy way to do this, just play the game, level up to at least 100(to be safe), and equip a higher level gear any time you get it, and you will get this.

You get ship and sail paint from killing enemy ships, looting floating crates or purchasing them in town shop.

No need to explain, just go to a map or instance where pirates are, and kill them...

You will encounter tons of pirates, and look for a ship named "captain" in front of its name.

Sink 6 enemy ships and that's it.

Defeat two enemies back to back

Easier then it sounds, just keep killing and the achievement will pop.

Defeat an enemy by yourself without taking any damage

Find your self a lower level pirate ship(go to lower level region), and kill(bully) a low level pirate ship...

Drop Grogolov on top of 3 or more enemies

Just find your self 3 targets that are Close to each other and throw a "Grogolov Cocktail" on top of them.

Repair your ship while obscured by fog

Throw a "Fog of War" on top of you, and repair once the "repair" ability becomes available.

Establish a foothold in a region where your faction has no towns

Best done when you just taken over a region from pirates, select any other faction, get a quest to build a settlement/town(they can be found in almost any town), and place it down where there is no other town near it.

Completely drive out pirates from a level 9+ region

Check Unstoppable Achievement for more details.

Drive out pirates from a level 39+ region

Go to any level 39 or higher pirate controlled region, take over all of the towns that pirates control. Towers and Lighthouses can be ignored because they don't count towards this, but also they become friendly once you capture all of the towns.

Sink a pirate captain in a level 39+ region

You will get this once you do the Unstoppable Achievement.
Black Flag

Become a true pirate. Arrr!

Open your inventory and click on your current flag, select "Pirate", after you done so, the achievement will unlock.
But be warned:
  • There is a cooldown of 5 minutes before you can change to another faction.
  • Every other faction(except pirates) on the map will attack you.
  • If you kill faction ships, destroy towers or take over towns, your reputation goes down with that faction you are in conflict with.

Join Forces

Capture a level 9 or higher region in a co-op match

Find a multiplayer server, go to a level 9 region or higher, and capture it.

Sink another player in PvP

There are many way to do this, but here are 2 ways:
1. Find map region where you see a player and either kill him by becoming a pirate, or him becoming a pirate.

2. Go to combat instance and there you can fight other people, they don't need to become pirates because its faction vs faction.
White Flag

Opt out of a PvP match by using a White Flag

At one point you will get a white flag(not sure when, if someone knows please comment below), once you do, equip it, and the achievement will pop.
Ps. When you equip the white flag, you cannot be attacked, but neither they cannot attack you.

Ok, I find out why I don't get Pirate Hunter - the region where I conquer was ALREADY conquered by previous players, but pirates took over the region and once I get out them once more, I don't get this, because region was already freed from pirates previously

About White Flag - if you are in battleground, where fractions fighting each other, there if you have White Flag on your ship, you shoul get this one.
Also, I don't know why, but I don't get achievement for get out all pirates from map, when I beat all pirates on 18 level map in multiplayer. Something I missing or I need beat this map without death?

how do you get an epic item? I assume that the levels is how many talents you have, so I'm level 54 or so, and I haven't seen a single one yet.

Efficiency still wont issue... what 7 years after this game was released? Wondering if anyone reading this guide has had a similar issue. Cannot get it to issue despite doing this.. multiple times.

Thank you, CoNnEcT! I will try it. For the "White Flag", I tried to use the item. did not know there was a white flag in the flags of the factions.. If any server with people is pvp, I don't understand why I haven't gotten these achievements yet. But I will try again

Hello extremeness_edge, i suggest you go to a PVP server(choose most popular one), and there just go to any region and youll get the "Join Forces". and for "White Flag" if i remember good, once you are in multiplayer, open your inventory and click on the flag and choose the white flag, if that doesnt work, then i remember i got the white flag randomly while playing, its a item same as any other, you just equip it into flag area, but also you can ask for help in any server, everyone is very friendly and its a tight community.

Hi! I decided to come back to the game, and remembered that I could not earn these achievements for a long time: White Flag and Join Forces. (I captured such a region, but no effect, same as the white flag: I equipped it - and nothing..) Can you help me with it?
