The steps to do the "exploit"
If you are too lazy to watch the video, here are the basic steps to do this:

1. Go outside the Javelin and run over to where the closest Pufferbirds are

2. Grab some bait (should be some around the area in trashcans labeled "GLOB")

3. Throw the bait out for the Pufferbirds to eat

4. Repeat this until you have enough carbon for your needs

Wait, does this represent a scalable and cost-effective carbon capture system? All we have to do is breed up millions of these pufferbirds and get them to poop out solid carbon by the ton. Global warming is solved! (poisoning the food web introducing stacks of chemically-produced artificial food is a small side-effect)

You're right, but this is just a lazy way of getting a lot of carbon at anytime as long as there are Pufferbirds.

the resources are usually not a problem if you proceed in the story line & explore a bit
