I'm doing this guide because when you get a ban or a penalty, the game doesn't have to tell you that you've received a ban, so I'll go over a few points to find out what's going on with the game if your friend doesn't see the summon sign or you can't summon anyone or It seems to you that you have too few players in the game and the last chance is that you are playing on a server where players with penalties are staying.

I will try to write from my own experience so don't expect me to be 100% right about it.

Lately I've been playing Dark Souls II Soft, I've found that there's something wrong with my game. For example, the fact that no one can summon me or that if you invade someone, invaders/host usually has immortality or has weapons at the beginning of the game from the DLC where they just could not get, or that I can not use the Bone of Order. And it's not that not many people play this game today.



So, if you don't see the ban message in the menu and you still have access to the online mode and you have similar problems as me is what means you have a penalty and you're on the server with players trying to manipulate with the game in any way (like me when I used watchdog mod and something due to fps).

Someone will tell you that the ban system is no longer working there, someone is saying that it's still there, I can't even say, but I think that there is a (some kind of) system that checks your files or soul level and inventory.


Why you have a ban/penalty I can't completely say it can be nonsense like the watchdog mod or just, remodeling textures.

The right reason to ban/penalty aka ALT + F4 in invades too much (Shame on you guys ...) and sadly cheats / mods

So if you have a ban rightly there is nothing to deal with you can do for yourself. But if you feel like it and know that you have a ban for no reason and for using those textures or watchdog try write on Bandai Namco support. (I know it's the year 2021, but when I wrote there, they wrote to me that I had a penalty but not reason.. :D At least I know what I'm up to.
