In this case it's shotgun, bouncy bullets and exploding bullets. (Take less reload or more shooting if none of the other 3 are available)

I was able to beat the game like this, but I didn't use the shotgun. I just used the default gun and spammed bullets for levels 8-11. I still have no idea how the bouncing bullets or explosions help but it was the only way I could beat the game, and my index finger is now throbbing.
