Realistic Rooms Rewritten

Description
For 1.6, 1.5, 1.4 and 1.3

Lower your room space requirements!

Safe to add mid-save.

What is this?
This mod is a complete rewrite of the original Realistic Rooms mod by Dragon Fist Ent (here) and it's updated version by Scherub (here).

The original mod uses outdated methods which cause incompatibilities with other mods.

This mod is also FULLY CONFIGURABLE from the in game settings menu.

What does it do?
This mod lowers the required space for each tier of room size (cramped, rather tight, etc.).

The table below shows the comparison between vanilla and this mods default values, along with the values from the original Realistic Rooms mod.

IMPORTANT! These values are not the number of tiles in a room, the formula the game uses for this is ([numOfWalkableTiles] * 1.4) + ([numOfOccupiedTiles] * 0.5)
Meaning that an empty 4x4 room will actually score 22.4 on space.

The default values are somwhere between the original mod and it's lite version. I find these to be more balanced. If you like you can change the values in the config menu to whatever you prefer. I do recommend using x.5 values for rounding reasons explained at the bottom.

I have also included a feature from the original mod which lowers the beauty impact of dirt and sand dropped inside a room.
Because a bit of dirt on the floor doesn't make the room uninhabitable.

QA
Q: Why use this mod instead of this one instead?
A:That mod doesn't support decimal values. That's literally it.
Mod no longer updated.

Q:Why are all the default values .5
A: Game rounds up on the GUI. Without the .5 the number shown in-game would not match directly with the tiers.

COMPATIBLE WITH 1.6

@JoeOwnage make sure you refresh? Restart rimsort?

I unsubbed and resubbed multiple times and my rimsort still thinks this is 1.5 not sure whats going on

I think the problem was just Steam itself :/ the version thing simply fixed itself without any updates or anything from the mod itself. Steam did have some big crash or whatever last night, now atleast it all seems to be working as normal again.

revalidate your game files, that should fix it

I recently started using RimSort and used its updater to download mod updates, but I noticed that a couple of mods (including this one just recently) seem to be downgraded, exactly the way Nico described. Maybe the issue has to be with RimSort or the way it uses the Steam API.

Funny, I had that thing with versions using Complex Jobs, it said it was for 1.5 and below. Now that changed to THIS mod instead and Complex Job is back to 1.6. So bizarre.

@Nico I uploaded the last version again. I'm not confident it will work, the issue seems pretty stubborn. Many people have this type of issue, especially with Rimworld mods, for some reason it seems to happen to this one more than others?

Anyway This steam discussion has some extra steps which might help you as well.

Could you update this again? For some reason despite me resubscribing RimSort still says this is a 1.5 and below only mod

@FemboyNugget Actually it is updated, classic steam workshop issue, just unsubscribe and resubscribe to force a file update.
