Intro
Hello everyone,
I made a little mod to change 29, 30, 31 and 32 prompt with original dpad prompt from Playstation version. This mod is not perfect but I was able to finish the game
xdelta
First you need xdelta, here is a link were you can get it with a gui (easier to use)

Patches
I made 2 patches, the first one change only dpad prompts and keeps ABXY prompt,
the second changes ABXY prompt for Playstation prompt, it's not perfect though, at high resolution it looks pixelated, the transparency is not handle correctly sometime (in bug catch) and Cross button is bigger because the same sized one makes the game unplayable (litterally, the game crash after loading you save) I tried a lot of thing to fix these little issues but nothing works

Only dpad: (remove space)

PS Prompt: (remove space)

Patching
Now we need to patch the correct file

- Open the Game file folder and go to the disc folder ([...]/Steam/steamapps/common/Titus/disc)

- rename the file rom3 to rom3_original (or anything), don't make a backup copy, actually rom3_original is you backup and will not be modified (you can still make your own backup if you want for whatever reason, but it's not necessary)

- open xdeltaUI
- in Patch: choose the patch you just downloaded
- in Source : choose rom3_original (or your backup)
- in Output File : go to the disc folder (if you just renamed the file like I said you should be in the good folder) and set rom3.cpk then save

you should have something like this :

- click patch, depending on your disk speed it can take up to a minute, I have an SSD and it take something like 2 seconds.

YAY !! You're ready and can play the game now
Others informations
If you want I can tell you how a did it

first I searched for a way to extract/explore cpk files
used multiple tool but they were not really good actually that's when i found Kuriimu2 (it's actually this software that has done everything I just explored extract and replaced lol)

with kuriimu2 you can open a lot of files type, explore files, extract and replace, etc...

in rom3 there are a lot of icons and buttons (there are the playstation prompt !!!), but the one used are in 4k folder (for higher resolutions textures I think) and in the icon folder the button prompt are in text folder (not button)

I will not get into full details you might need to search for yourself using kuriimu2 to fully understand but feel free to make a better patch if you can, I know my patch is a quick and dirty fix so go on if you think you can do a better job than me !!

anyway thanks to fantranslators for their amazing tools

You are a legend, thank you very much just bought this game and was having a ball until I tried the first Rat Quest and Holey crap what a miss-input Namco made here. Thanks so much. Works great on SteamDeck using the website patcher ina comment below.

I keep getting "xdelta resulted in unhandled exception errors (system cannot find the file specified)." when trying to patch and idk what to do and the steps are confusing especially step 2 and 3 in patching

Oh so it really seems to be related to the resolution
my patch probably work only for high resolution (maybe 1080p and higher, or maybe 720p and higher I don't know) I'll try to make it work with lower resolution but I don't know if it will work.

Also, I seem to be unable to change the resolution at all.

I tried the other patch, first using the already-patched cpk file as the source (which gave me error messages), then using my original backup as the source. I got the "patch successful" message again, but when I played the game the button prompts were still for XBox buttons and not Playstation.
I'm playing at a resolution of 1228 x 684 (I use my TV as a monitor and it's not a conventional resolution).

Strange, everything seems right to me .
I'll download the game tommorow and make some testing.

In the mean time can you test the other patch that adds the playstation symbols too ? I highly doubt it but maybe the only d-pad patch never worked

Also can you tell me at what screen resolution you play the game ? maybe it has an impact on the texture used (that's what I want to check tomorrow),
