Half Life Alyx Vindicta Factions

This mod adds several factions to Vindicta set in the Half-Life 2 Universe.

The Overwatch Transhuman Arm, or OTA, is the military backbone of the Universal Union, also known as the Combine. Transhumans, in a more specific stance, are humans modified with combine technology to become cybernetically enhanced super-soldiers. Trained in unit tactics and armed to the teeth, the soldiers of the Transhuman forces are encountered throughout the game as the main faction of opposition.

Civil Protection is the Combine's law enforcement in all urban areas on Earth. Civil Protection officers are ordinary human volunteers who have "willingly" joined the Combine. Civil Protection officers joined either for more privileges, such as additional food, better living conditions, rewards for completing objectives and tasks (including "non-mechanical reproduction simulation"), an increase in authority and status over others, or out of genuine sympathy and identification with the Combine's aims.

Citizens are humans living under Combine rule, after the Seven Hour War and subsequent Combine occupation. The term "Citizen" refers specifically to a human living under Combine rule in a city, as opposed to a rebel or refugee.
