Enabling the Steam Overlay

  • In Mod Organizer 2, press the gears icon in the top bar. This will open up the Modify Executables window.
  • Select the Oblivion entry from the Executables menu on the left, then check the box next to Force load libraries (*). Now press the Configure Libraries button. This will open up the Forced Load Settings window.
  • Press the Add Row button to create a new entry on the list.
  • Check the box to the left side of the Process name box, then click on the ... button to the right of it. This will open up an explorer window, where you should navigate to your Oblivion install folder and select Oblivion.exe.
  • After that, press the ... button on the right side of the Library to load box. Now navigate to your Steam install folder and select GameOverlayRenderer.dll.
  • You can now launch Oblivion through Mod Organizer 2 to check if the Steam overlay is functional.

It works with Fallout 4. You need to add "steam_api64" instead of "GameOverlayRenderer"

This guide can work for pretty much any game that you're using Mod Organizer for. Just got Lethal Company with steam overlay working with mod organizer. Except I used GameOverlayRenderer64.dll
