Upscaled all the Pre-Rendered Cutscenes / FMVs to 4K, from 720p using AI software. Improving the visuals, adding more detail and reducing compression blocks.

Overview
Using AI Upscaling software, I have upscaled the Main Menu backgrounds (which take form in Bink-encoded videos) alongside the intro cutscene.

The audio has slight modification done with it. I have added manually, *Mastering* using Adobe Premiere Pro, to help the audio sound better. The Intro Pre-Rendered Cutscene still keeps the 5.1 audio channel intact.

Note: This upscale could not be packaged and uploaded as a Steam Workshop item, I do not think Valve allow Workshop Items to modify the *media* files, which keeps the Bink-Encoded files.
Discord Server
I have my own Discord Server, dedicated on upscaling Pre-Rendered Cutscenes and announcing any new games that will have their Pre-Rendered Cutscenes upscaled to 4K & in 60FPS+ using frame interpolation.

Installation Instructions
The package will be packed into a .RAR file. Which you need WinRAR to be installed to use, I am not sure if 7zip can unpack the RAR archive. If you do not have WinRAR, download it here.



Once installed, open up the RAR archive and extract the folder to your steamapps --> common folder. Let Windows replace the files (as the file structure of the RAR archive, follows the same file structure as L4D2's media folder.)

That is all! Open the game up, and enjoy!

like i fully understand you, you want to earn atleast some fund for yr work, but it doesnt matter for end consumer, when official way to get the software is inferior to unofficial ones. What a shame

Generally that would happen when either your CPU or your Storage is slow. In short, there is a bottleneck.

im running a 4k monitor. it looks about the same as the original
