Soundpad Soundboard

Description
Use the Soundpad soundboard from within OVR Toolkit!

This app requires both the full version of Soundpad and the installation of a bridge app in order to work. Head over to https://github.com/jangxx/OVRT_Soundpad/releases to download the latest version of the bridge app. Unpack it somewhere and run the included ovrt_soundpad_bridge.exe to get started.

You can get more info or contribute to the development over at the GitHub repository: https://github.com/jangxx/OVRT_Soundpad

Get Soundpad either from their website[leppsoft.com] or from Steam

https://store.steampowered.com/app/629520/

If you run into any issues or have new ideas for features don't hesitate to open an issue on GitHub or to send me a message on Discord at jangxx#1337.

Is it possible to make different instances of this (i.e. one dedicated to music and another dedicated to meme sounds?)

@jangxx Most of the files have been renamed and they all show up within soundpad. Sometimes within the vr bridge they will show up oddly though. I've seen them come through named as the origin of where i got them. Unsure how i'd adjust that really since the information isn't showing within soundpad itself.

@Johji I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe the sounds are using weird characters or something? Internally the program is just using Soundpads API and if that's not returning all the sounds, it's outside the scope of this plugin.

@Random That wasn't "intentional" but it works of course. You could've also downloaded the code from GitHub and ran the development server locally for the same functionality. I wouldn't recommend this solution to casual users, but if you know what you're doing there are many ways to achieve what you wanted - none of them are supported by me however. Good to hear you got it to work though!

Nah don't worry I figured it out. Just head to
C:\Users\ Your Username \AppData\LocalLow\Curtis English\OVR Toolkit\WorkshopContent\2596213066\html
and open up both control.html and index.html in a browser. Control is the actual Soundpad you see in VR with Index controlling the columns/rows/pages with the edit toggle too.

Not sure if this was intentional or not, but either way I found out how. Either way, I appreciate the work ya'll have done. :hp_kyu:

@Random There is no way to run the edit mode on Desktop, but if you quickly want to add a bunch of sounds, you can use the "Fill Page" feature in combination with Soundpads categories (which are basically playlists). You could for example create a category for each page and then use the "Fill Page" feature to copy them onto the different pages.

As much as how great this is, could there be a way to run edit mode from the desktop? If not, could there be a way to add it manually like having them saved in a text file or something?

I accidentally unbound the hotkey from the main menu in OVR Toolkit and now I am unsure of how to bring it back. Any ideas?

Please appreciate the work community members put into this though. If you can't do better you shouldn't complain it sucks without providing feedback!
Maybe tell the author what issues you faced so they can improve it?
