How to be entertaining! (ACTUAL GUIDE)
By Digital_Stealth
Hello! Yes, this is not a single line fake guide (that's most likely a desperate attempt to get points), but instead an actual guide on how to be entertaining in VRChat! We will go over what's required of you, what I personally recommend, as well as what can be considered entertaining or not entertaining.

Fundamental Basics
You want to be entertaining? You gotta put yourself out there! First things first, you MUST stick out like a sore thumb. For example you mustn't be one of the following:
  • A run-of-the-mill anime e-boy/e-girl wolf-something edge-lord shader-demon trap music-blasting avatar.
  • Limited visibility to only PC users (unless circumstances determine otherwise).
  • Loud ≠ funny always. But sometimes, when perfectly timed, it is.
  • Overly enormous, as in being as tall as 1:1 scale Maze Bank building.
  • Anti-social to the point of panicking at the thought of human interaction.
  • Sensitive to anything that might be mildly inconvenient.
  • Extremely low quality audio (more on this next).

Are you none of that? Good! You're ready for the next step!
Software?! Oh Boy!
You can be entertaining with a sick sense of humor, but what if you wanna spice things up? Personally, I use a software called VoiceMod to do my bits, clean up my mic quality, and perform amazing acts, but there's plenty of other software to use! Some may feel more comfortable with using something else, such as VoiceMeter, SoundPad, MorphVox, and so on! This is all up to preference, but I recommend Voicemod due to its versatility!

The main requirements that I PERSONALLY would impose, are for the software to have voice-changing abilities, voice creation, soundboard, QOS (Quality Of Sound) improvements, and dependable stability.

NOTE: EACH SOFTWARE HAS A FREE AND PRO VERSION! FREE IS USABLE, BUT CAN BE QUITE LIMITED! IF YOU CAN, SHELL OUT THE EXTRA CASH FOR PRO, ITS WORTH IT!

Got all that? Awesome! Onward!
Gotta Have A Gig!
Got everything set up and ready to go? Woah now, hold it right there! You just can't go right in without having a set gig, right? You gotta have a common theme, even if it's the most basic one it still counts! Coming from experience, it's really entertaining to be role-playing as a certain character, whether they're made by you, or a character from a famous franchise. Both the soundboard and voice-changer have key parts in this!

For example. lets say you're role-playing as a Combine or Civil Protection from the Half-Life series, right? You'd wanna have a voice-changer for that distorted radio filter, as well as the radio activate and deactivate sound to fit the character. But let's not forget that you have to actually PLAY the part, not let the software do all the work! Say things that the character would actually say in the games, have the same personality, copy their speech patterns, and do some skits with them! Remember, this is about being entertaining after all, it's not entertaining if you're playing the character but have the personality of a blank notepad!

You can be other things too, but you gotta make things interesting for everyone. You can be a car, an animatronic from the FNAF series, something adorable like a gecko, a Minecraft mob, any many others! All it takes is that spark of creativity, and you're sailing!

Get the picture? Excellent, moving on!
Reading The Room
Now, let's say you've got a set character, the soundboard is all set up with the key-binds preset, and the voice-changer is near perfect. That's great! But you join a lobby, say, The Black Cat, and everyone is the list above, and just staring into the mirror and their UwU ERP cuddle session that gives them just enough energy to survive another day of their empty lives? You try to entertain them and give them a show, but what do they do...?

They mute/block you immediately and continue to waste their life.

Not fun, huh? Don't worry, I've been there. There are a few things you can do to alleviate the sting of rejection, because let me tell you it WILL sting. Tell yourself reassuring factors that are true! You actually touch grass, you've seen sunlight this week (or month), you don't have a drinking/smoking/drug problem, and let's face it, you can't possibly disappoint your family more than they already have!

But let's say you find an actually fun lobby, full of people wanting to laugh and giving laughs to others! Now is your time to shine, but be warned! Do. Not. Go. Overboard. People have a limit, even the most nicest and wonderful untainted souls in this game have a breaking point, and its your duty to not go past it! Just play your character, and play it well! Use the sounds in your arsenal (time them perfectly if necessary) and the voice-changer with some voice acting! I guarantee you that people will have a kick and a thrilling time around you, and who knows? You'll most likely make tons of new friends!
You're Entertaining!
You did it! You're being entertaining!

Use this newfound knowledge and bring the funny/scary to everyone!

Now, I don't expect to be given points for actual effort here, but I do kindly request an upvote! That's all I ask! Favoriting, sharing, and the rest is all just gravy afterwards, all I wanted was to share this information so this game can be even more fun. Not just for me, but for everyone!

I can appreciate the effort put into this guide unlike the other billion guides here, but I want to warn the people reading this that this won't help you get very far from getting people to respect you and want to hang out with you whenever you go.

You don't have to go out of your way to not wear an eboy avatar if you want to be an eboy. Your avatar choice doesn't really matter as long as it's a humanoid and doesn't overly lag or crash people.

While you can have an interesting gig get people's attention, it's only a fleeting glance that you will earn, like having a nice car. Look up videos of dudes trying to impress girls with their car. It's only temporary.

If you want people to want to join you everyday and respect you, you need to bring positive vibes into people when they are around you.

Some easy ways of doing so is to make people laugh, make people feel respect for you, and make people feel good when they hear praise from you, and relate to people.
