I don't get why you people have to bash on these games so hard. Its a matter of allowing yourself to enjoy the experience. If you don't like it, fine. Go do a walk or whatever you "social" people do. You don't have to complain about everything you don't like.

I actually was in your position for a while. I bought Proteus early in its life cycle, got bored of it really quick and stopped playing it for the longest time, thinking the game was absolute garbage. I decided to try and pick it up again a few days ago, and just let myself settle in and just wander around. I suspended my disbelief for a while. You really have the freedom to just think about whatever, while also almost being told a story, if you let the game do so.

TL;DR - This game is average, when you let it do its job.

If by secrets you mean nothing, you are correct.

Seriously? This game has loads of cool stuff and secrets. There are articles on THIS guide page that show you how to find some of the secrets. Are you retarded?

But it's not really the same experience. Watching a National Geographic documentary on African creatures isn't the same experience as going to visit another country and seeing the wildlife. Looking at a painting of a mountain isn't the same experience as hiking it and getting the view from there. Sometimes I want to watch a documentary, sometimes I want to go visit another country, sometimes I want to look at a painting, sometimes I want to hike a mountain. Likewise, sometimes I want to take a walk and sometimes I want to play Proteus. I like taking walks, I like playing Proteus, and they are not at all the same experience. For one, the seasons of the world never laid themselves out to me, whizzing by before my eyes while I was taking a walk. But I do like walks, they are nice. I do still like your guide, it makes me chuckle.
