Most common causes

If your game client is crashing at start-up, it’s typically due to a few common causes.

These steps are the result of multiple feedbacks from the community. If you come up with another solution, please mention it in the comments.

[Solution A] : When your computer encounters a BSOD (for whatever reason) or when your game crashes, there is a small chance that the shader cache of the game will become corrupted. When that happens, it is no longer possible to start the game. An easy solution is to clear the shader cache.

Clear game's shader cache pipeline :
- 1. Go to %localappdata%\Io Interactive\HITMAN3
- 2. Remove both PipelineCache.bin and PipelineLibrary.bin files.
These files will reappear after a shader compilation. If these files doesn't exist, make sure minimum system requirements are met, you have up-to-date drivers and the game can write here.
[Solution B] Press "ENTER" screen crash only : Your steam saves may be corrupted. Rename the folder 1659040 here :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXX\1659040

Then disable Steam Cloud Sync (right-click on Hitman 3 -> Properties -> General -> Enable Cloud Sync (uncheck this)), launch the game, press enter, close the game, and enable Steam Cloud Sync. You can safely remove your saves because all your progression is stored on IOI's servers.
[Solution C] Map loading crash only : Lowering the graphics settings because your computer may not handle them properly on this map. Then clear game's shader cache pipeline (solution A). Restart your computer, that should do it. Also, verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
[Solution D] Use Windowed or Fullscreen mode, not Exclusive Fullscreen in launcher settings.
[Solution E] Close any application that can lead to instability like MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision...etc.
[Solution F] Close any application that add an overlay like StreamLabs OBS, Discord...etc
[Solution G] Add Hitman's EXEs into your antivirus solution whitelist or disable it completely.
[Solution H] Use Display Driver Uninstaller[www.guru3d.com] (DDU) to completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and tools like NVIDIA GeForce Experience. Then install the latest drivers.
[Solution I] Reinstall the game entirely.
[Solution J] Use the Nvidia reference clock speeds for your GPU if you have applied a custom overclocking.
[Solution K] Underclock your RAM by disabling any XMP (Intel Extreme Memory Profile) or AMP (AMD Memory Profile) profile in your BIOS/UEFI interface.

i don't have shader cache and all other method don't works

I finally found the issue for me! I had to go to the virus and threat protection and white list %localappdata%-IO Interactive. Let's go!

I had this problem and I would like to add to this guide that I found an entirely different solution that is not online in any links I searched:

DLSS was the root of my problems.
What I did was rename the following DLLs inside the installing folder:
DLLs:
- sl.dlss.dll
- sl.reflex.dll
I added .bak at the end of the names and the game runs without issues now
