the game wont let you change the control method until it is changed under the steam game properties. you can do this by right clicking on the game in your steam library and clicking on properties and the controller tab
now click on enable steam input
you should now be able to change it in game

Non-Related, but anyone know a way how to change mouse sens?

The Opposite worked for me on my Steam Deck.

Quick Fix if youre on the Steam Deck :

1.Go to settings with the Digital Keyboard
2.Change Controlling from Keyboard to Controller
3.Close Game
4.If asked to synchronise you Game Save just do it
5.Now you see the Steam Deck UI from the Game and go to settings
6.In Settings select Properties
7.Go to Controller and Deactivate Steam Input
8.Start the Game again and it works.

i have a ps4 controller and it still shows me xbox keys and its frustrating because of the 29 30 31 32 as uparrow downarrow and so on
