So you want to speedrun rhythm doctor huh. well im not gonna explain everything you need to do that, so just look up free online timers, i recommend livesplit and NodeBoard (I think thats what its called)
Onto the rules!

There are different categories for rhythm doctor speedrunning. I'll explain the rules for them here. Or rather, copy and paste them from speedrun.com :troll:
Game Rules
It is recommended to include a key viewer and/or a keyboard camera, as sometimes they use these to decide if a run is legitimate or not.

All runs must start when you start a new save file, and must end when you return to the main menu or the title screen after you finish the last level, unless otherwise noticed.

All runs should be submitted with video evidence.

Do not run the game with the Unmissable and Very Easy difficulties.

You must not use the Samurai easter egg. You must not change between save files in-game.
Any%
Complete Acts 1~4, 1-XN (Don't get this confused with all the Night Levels! It means Super Battleworn Insomniac), and X-0.
100%
Complete Acts 1~4 and their Night Shift counterparts, 2-B1, X0-X, X-1, X-WOT, and MD-1~MD-3 with an S rank.

You must show the 100% file after you finish the run.
Flawless% (Never been attempted)
Complete Acts 1~4 and their Night Shift counterparts, 2-B1, X-0, X-1, X-WOT, and MD-1~MD-3 with an S rank without getting a boss game over, restarting, or getting ranks other than S ranks.
Blind%
Complete Acts 1~4, 1-XN, and X-0, while not looking at the game screen. You must cover your eyes or turn off your monitor while running, and a camera must show that the runner is not looking at the screen.
Flash%
Complete the flash version.
2-B1 long%
samurai jumpin over thos beans as long as he can. Stop the timer when "Game Over" or "You Win" is displayed
Janitor%
Talk to the janitor as fast as you can. Run starts at the opening cutscene and ends after janitor stops talking.

1. every letter on your keyboard can be used as a replacement for the spacebar. use all of these to skirr through dialouge as fast as you can.
2. S ranking 1-XN will not cause you to lose time. Despite the extra dialogue when you prefect the song, it takes just as long to get out of the song if you don’t.
3. Restarting 1-XN as soon as you see the opening cutscene will restart the song and skip the cutscene.
4. Xbox game bar will not capture the timer. This goes for literally every speedrun ever.
5. Using Game Capture on OBS can be considered cheating, as you can see 2-X very clearly because the window isnt seen moving on video. Use display capture and put the game in fullscreen.
6. Every tutorial can be skipped, no matter if it was completed or not. Press esc then s.
7. Sometimes, dialogue in the middle of songs is skippable. If you are unsure which songs the dialogue is skippable in, just hold down space as soon as dialogue starts, and you aren't playing.
8. The fastest language for now is Japanese.
9. turn off your steam overlay as there's extra dialogue for if you have it on
