When you leave the dock, you may notice a collection of containers on the left side:




What you may have not noticed is a small door on the lowest of containers:


Behind this door are functioning Medbots!




However, there is a problem: the door is locked and requires one lockpick to be unlocked.




The guide will showcase numerous ways in which the door can be opened without using a lockpick.

It's not optimal nor recommended: a GEP gun's rocket is worth more than a lockpick, since rockets can open locked doors and containers that may require more than one lockpick or multitool.

However, this method is here to showcase one thing: Medbots are not destroyed by explosions.










Another thing to note that explosives will most likely attract nearby enemy troops:

When you leave the dock, you may notice two walls and an opening on the right side.




If you walk through the opening, you may notice two crates standing next to a lamppost.


These are TNT crates.


Pick one up and bring it to the door:




When you are close to the door, throw the crate.




Beware: you WILL take damage. If you don't want to take damage, you can throw the crate from behind the containers, next to their corner. You throw the crate and then immediately sprint behind the corner.




But you can heal yourself soon after.


If you alarmed enemies nearby, escape where you came from: Security Bot and Paul will protect you.






Alternative method:

If you don't want to risk taking damage, be it from TNT or enemy troops, you can gently put the TNT crate by crouching and then throwing it.




Then, you can shoot it from afar:

On the starting dock, there is a patrolling Security Bot:



Its patrol route includes exit from the dock. The Security Bot walks right next to the exit ramp:


And if you stand on the Bot's way...


He will turn perpendicular to you and you will have FULL CONTROL over its movement!


As long as you keep him perpendicular, walking along its path while looking straight at it, it will WALK STRAIGHT.


You can use your mouse to TURN the Bot. The Bot will follow the mouse to keep itself perpendicular to you. But not for long. There are limits to the turn abilities.


Trying to describe how to control the Bot is like trying to teach someone how to ride a bike. You can tell them all you want about balance, but they will only truly get it once they sit on a bike and try it for themselves. Go ahead! Try controlling the Bot on your own. Its not hard: stand on its way, walk along with it, turn it with your mouse. There is nothing more to the technique! After you have gotten comfortable, you can lead the Bot to the Medbot's door and CRASH IT open:

If you are comfortable with controlling the Security Bot, you can control Paul. Opening the Medbot's door using Paul is the fastest way. But it requires you to want to open the door from the very start.

As soon as you start the new game, sprint to the door.



Run along handrails and do not hesitate, stop or look around even for a second.



Because if you do...



Paul will catch you and that's the end of it.



So, run and do not look around.



Up the ramp.



Tilt left.



Close to the door. But not too close. You are aiming for the wall. This is to position Paul most optimally.



As soon as you touch the wall, you can breath out. You made it!



Paul will speak with you. Pick the GEP gun (smartest option) and carry on.



As soon as the cutscene ends, you will face the wall.



Immediately turn around and catch Paul!


Crouch in front of him (crouching makes it easier to control him). Same deal as with the Bot: move along, turn with mouse. Aim for the door.
