In SteamVR you have to go to settings, once in settings:
1. Make sure "Advanced Settings" is set to "Show".
2. Go to "Video" tab.
3. Scroll to bottom and set "Pause VR when headset is idle" to "On".
4. Go to "Startup / Shutdown" tab.
5. Set "Turn off displays after" to "5 SECONDS"
