NOTE: If you've used the previous version of the guide to do this then you should go and enable Steam Input again

NOTE NOTE: This one works wireless aswell

1. Download the latest version of IshinFix from Github

2. Go to your games local files

3. Go to LikeADragonIshin\Binaries\Win64 and extract the contents of IshinFix to that folder

4. Open IshinFix.ini

4.5. If your on Steam Deck / Linux

5. Boot up the game

6. If it doesn't work

1. Download the latest version of IshinFix from Github

IshinFix also makes cutscenes run in a staggering UNCAPPED FPS (Or 60/120/30 if you limit the FPS in the settings ) and removes those black bars on diffrent aspect ratios

2. Go to your games local files

3. Go to LikeADragonIshin\Binaries\Win64 and extract the contents of IshinFix to that folder

Should look like this

4. Open IshinFix.ini

[Override Controller Icons]
; Set to enabled to override controller icon style.
; 0 = Dualshock 4 (PS4)
; 1 = Dualshock 5 (PS5)
; 2 = Xbox One
Enabled = false
Type = 0
to

[Override Controller Icons]
; Set to enabled to override controller icon style.
; 0 = Dualshock 4 (PS4)
; 1 = Dualshock 5 (PS5)
; 2 = Xbox One
Enabled = true
Type = (Change to whatever icons you want)

4.5. If your on Steam Deck / Linux

Rename the winmm.dll to d3d12.dll (DX12 which is default) OR d3d11.dll if you're running the game in DX11.

5. Boot up the game

6. If it doesn't work

Try increasing the injection delay. If you have slower hardware like a hard-drive or a slow SSD / whatever makes the game longer to boot up, increase the injection delay. I have it on 3000 but you probably need to troubleshoot and find what works for you
Also try to rename the winmm.dll to d3d12.dll (DX12 which is default) OR d3d11.dll if you're running the game in DX11.

They released a patch for that, i probably should rename the quide

Am I missing something? The game shows me PS button inputs if I turn the controller on after the game boots up anyway

Updated the guide to use IshinFix (TY CaptSarge) Also it should now work with all controllers since this method goes through Steam Input

You can now use IshinFix to select any prompt you want, no matter the pad you use.

Pretty sure this only works with official PS controller, you could maybe try to use DS4 to get your controller to emulate an official one

To clarify, I only said it doesn't work for me. I didn't give any award, let alone a clown one.
I'm just looking for solution here, will try again.

Why the clown awards? This does indeed work, despite it maybe looking like a joke since it says "Disable Steam Inputs", if it doesn't work for you either something is wrong with your Steam/drivers or you somehow didn't do it properly or you have a bootleg ass PS controller.

Doesn't work for me, I'm using Nacon Revolution Pro 2.
Using the same controller works for Kiwami & Kiwami 2 without even having to disable steam input.
