This guide presumes that your operating system is Windows 7, if your operating system isn't then this guide might not work.

Open up the Windows start menu and type "hitman.ini" into the Search-bar.
The ".ini" file we are searching for should now show up in the search result.
If the hitman.ini file doesn't show up in the search field, try finding the file in the steamfolder:
Default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Codename 47\hitman.ini
Edit the "hitman.ini" file using a notepad and replace the text with following:

Include Setup\Locale.zip //DrawDll Render3DFX.dll DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll //DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll SoundDll Sound.dll ScriptDll GSC.dll LocaleDLL Locale.dll Resolution 1920x1080 ColorDepth 32 Anisotropy 2 AntiAlias DisableLight ShadowDetail 2 TextureResolution 0 DisableDXT DisablePAL Window StartUpperPos 0,0

Save the changes and close notepad.
Done! now start the game.

Note: The resolution of your screen may differ from in this guide (1920x1080).
If so change it to whatever size your screen supports.

What does DisableDXT and Disable PAL do, because I don't have those in the ini files

It is working 100%.
For those who are having problems with the controls you should set them yourself in the Options menu under Mouse & Keyboard. The Vanilla settings are terrible.

Also, I would advie you to add something like "Do not change anything IN game options, cause this will ruin this guide's fix"
