The rod before Golden Rod has a bias in favor of higher level fish, the Golden Rod is more even on the fish types. Trying for a specific fish is inferior to spamming Golden Rod. You could try using feet pix of the other holomems as bait, but you'll only get 1 shark and that shark can't feed workers.
also how to get more sharks, all my workers want the cute teethtorpedoes but i have only found one
I haven't done the math on it or anything but I have no doubt that I could comfortably buy all the remaining stat ups just via idling.
As long as they don't want Sharks you're pretty much drowning in resources to keep them fed by that point and i bet if i grind up for the golden rod that sharks would come more often than with turkey rod.
It's actually kind of a shame that it's so powerful but I guess it helps people who are having more trouble in the game. Clearing stages with coin builds sounds a lot more fun but I don't think it's quite as efficient (and even if it is it's obviously much harder)
I only have one though…
Not entirely correct because many of the cooking buffs also require them.
