Hello, this is my very first steam guide. In this guide i will guide you how to get every single achievement in portal. Some content isnt mine, if you the owner of the videos and kindly request to remove it on this guide i will. Over time I will be improving this Guide. CONTAINS SPOLIERS.

Time to get started with the 15 achievements!

Lab Rat

"Acquire the fully powered Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device."

In order to obtain this achievement u must pick up the portal gun at test chamber 2, This is the easiest achievement in this game. This achievement can’t be missed.

Fratricide

"Do whatever it takes to survive."

To get this achievement you must at the very end of Chamber 17. Once you throw your companion cube into the incinerator you will get it. This achievement cannot be missed.

Friendly Fire

"Knock down a turret with another turret."

In order to obtain this achievement you must go to a chamber that has at least 2 turrets and knock it by having one on you and touch another turret

Partygoer

"Make the correct party escort submission position decision".

In order to get this you must get out of the fire pit that you are in by using the portals to get out. This achievement cannot be missed.

Terminal Velocity

"Fall 30,000 feet"

To obtain this achievement you must fall 30,000 feet in one fall. In order to do this you must place a portal above you and a portal below you. This should take about 10-15 minutes.

Long Jump

"Jump 300 feet."

To obtain this achievement you must jump 300 feet at once. They best place to do this is at close to the very end of the game in the giant room with a muddy trench at the bottom. (NOT MY VIDEO)

Heartbreaker

"complete portal"

In order to get this achievement you must complete the story of portal. You will get this after defeating the final boss.

Camera Shy

"Detach security cameras from the walls."

You can do this achievement on your first playthrough of portal. To get this achievement you must detach every camera from the wall that is possible. Video below (not mine)

Transmission Received

"..?"

in order to get the "Transmission Received" achievement you must have already beaten the game once. Once you have done that you are able to get the achievement, Here is a video by another person on how to get it

Cupcake/Fruitcake/Vanilla Crazy Cake

In order to get all of these achievements you must finish 6 advanced chambers. Here is a video made by another person that shows how to do it

Basic Science, Rocket Science, and Aperture Science achievements

in order to obtain these achievements you must earn gold medals on all challenges. Here is a video i didnt make.

Hi, I've completed all the advanced maps, even got the achievements for beating 4 and 6 of them, but for some reason I didn't get the achievemnt for 2 maps (you can even check my portal acievements). You know any reason why this could happen?

you need to do it in one sitting, no saves or loads, just play straight from chamber 1 to 19

I did a full playtrough trying to get the camera shy achievement using this guide and the achievement showed up somewhere mid playtrough but i didn't see it on my steam profile, so i got all the cameras and even finished the game, but i still can't see the achievement. Can anyone helpy?

ha, after posting the comment I opened portal and then the achievements were visible. I then tried to delete my comment, but nothing happened when I pressed the trash can symbol on the top right. *-*

This seems very usefull, but for some reason I don't see any of the achievements where they usually are, on the right of the game page. Do you perhaps know what I can do about that?
