Introduction
Scope
This guide is build in sections, describing how to hunt achievements from A-Z in the easiest way possible. Meaning, the intention is to follow the guide chronologically. The average in-game hours for full completion is 40-50 depending on efficiency.

If you have a second monitor, bring this guide up and scroll down to the game you're currently playing, to keep an overview.

This is our first guide, so make sure to rate it, that way we'll know if we did a good or terrible job

DISCLAIMER!!! You need to own the DLCs: Legend of the Beast and Jewel of the Nile in order to 100%.

The game consist of three parts:
  1. SS:TFE (The First Encounter)
  2. SS:TSE (The Second Encounter) (+ DLC: Legend of the Beast)
  3. SS:BFE (Before First Encounter) (+ DLC: Jewel of the Nile)

Overview
If you are looking to complete all achievements using the most optimal route, we recommend the following:

1.
Start by playing the entire campaign of TFE, TSE and BFE on unmodified Serious mode (it does not have to be on the same save file). Order of the game is irrelevant. During your campaign, strive to complete each level below the estimated time. If the estimated time achievement is not unlocked after the playthrough, you can backtrack and speedrun the remaining few levels on an easier difficulty. You can open the achievement tab inside the game (not the steam overlay) to see exactly what maps you are missing.

2.
Alternatively, start by playing the entire campaign of TFE, TSE and BFE on unmodified Serious mode in co-op. (Remember to play one level with blood option set to hippy). Once again the order of the games are irrelevant, and it is not necessary to play on the same save file.

3.
Play through the two DLCs (Difficulty is irrelevant, play on Tourist for speed):
a) Jewel of the Nile (BFE)
b) Legend of the Beast (TSE)


Either way you start, it is necessary to play through the campaigns for full completion. This way, you should have completed the following unmissable story-related achievements:

Passive achievements:
Along the previously mentioned unmissable achievements, the following achievements will mostly be obtained passively while playing the campaigns. However, make sure to keep them in mind as they are not guaranteed. These passive achievements are self-explanatory.

Expanding your weapon arsenal
Switch between your weapons throughout the game and these will be obtained without the usage of any brain cells:
I love my shotguns
Kill 250 Enemies with a shotgun.
I love my Thompson
Kill 200 Enemies with the Thompson Submachine gun.
I love my Rocket Launcher
Kill 150 Enemies with the Rocket Launcher.
I love my Minigun
Kill 300 Enemies with the Minigun.
I love my Cannon
Kill 100 Enemies with the Cannon.
Space Marine
Kill 200 enemies with the Laser gun.
Burn Baby, Burn
Burn 100 enemies to death. Only in TSE

A specific way of killing
A small amount of brain cells are needed for these achievements:
Chain explosion
Kill at least 5 headless kamikazes in one explosion.
Wall of bullets
Kill 20 enemies with the Minigun without releasing the trigger.
Bird hunter
Kill 20 Harpies with the Sniper rifle. Only in TSE
Crunchy
Kill 100 Kleers with the Cannon.
Rrrrrrrrrr
Kill 10 enemies with the Chainsaw without releasing the trigger. Only in TSE
Serious Damage
Kill 100 enemies with Serious Damage active. Only in TSE
Trick or treat
Kill 50 Cucurbitos. Only in TSE

Active achievements:
The following achievements must actively be pursued in order to achieve them! In order of appearance:

At any point
Quick Draw
Pull out a single Colt and immediately deliver a killing shot.
Any beheaded enemies take 2 Colt shots to die (depending on difficulty). Shoot them once, switch away from the Colt, switch back to the Colt, kill the enemy. Note that it is a SINGLE colt. I recommend doing the achievement in the very beginning of the game (in Hatshepsut or Sierra de Chiapas), before the second Colt is picked up.
Look, it's a secret!
Find at least 30 secrets in single player.
You need to find 30 secrets across the games in single player. I used these two videos to locate the "easy-to-find" achievements while playing through the campaign. If you don't get the achievement by exactly 30 secrets, keep finding more secrets until it pops. Sometimes the counting is off for some reason.

Leap of Faith
Leap into the unknown on Luxor
Can be achieved in a normal play-through on the map Luxor. When reaching the room with a spike pit (after picking up the Feather of Truth), kill the enemies in the room, quick save and jump into your (presumable) death. Skip to 14:50:

Hey! That's cheating!
Trigger Ugh-Zan's regeneration on The Great Pyramid.
Ugh-Zan is the final boss of TFE. When reaching the final part of the fight inside the pyramid, simply get his health low enough to trigger his regeneration, while not using the hoops. I recommend slow-saving (an actual save-file, not a quick-save) the game when reaching the pyramid, so you can quickly backtrack and obtain the acheivement after winning the game normally.

Treasure Diving
Find a secret under water.
In Sierra de Chiapas (the first map of TSE), you start the game by falling into a lake. Simply dive down and pick up the hidden secret Rocket Launcher. (The exact location is also seen in the "all secrets" video linked above.)
Look Ma, I'm a Lumberjack!
Cut down some trees.
Can be obtained by cutting down any trees in the game. It is recommended to cut down the first three or four trees in Sierra de Chiapas. This will also spawn a secret Thompson. Ca-ching!
Nice Try
Use the Flamethrower on a Lava Golem.
Can be obtained in Sierra de Chiapas. After obtaining the Flamethrower in the first temple, you will later encounter a Lava Golem in a narrow corridor with throwing magma rocks. Use your Flamethrower on it.
Make It Count
Kill at least 30 enemies with a single Serious Bomb
Can be done in multiple areas, but I recommend trying to get it at the first opportunity given. In the second level of TSE, Valley of the Jaguar, just when you reach outside, you can turn around and shoot down the invulnerability power-up. (Look up and to the right, when looking at the Exit. Shoot the rock with a Rocket Launcher). When the Kleers almost reach you, take the power-up. Make sure to snipe the Red Biomechs so their rockets won't kill the Kleers! Run as much forward as possible and spawn as many Enemies before the timer runs out. Use the Serious Bomb just before you become vulnerable again. If that doesn't work, I recommend saving a Serious Bomb for the last level, Grand Cathedral. When turning around most corners, large waves of Enemies spawn. Again, make sure to kill the NPCs that uses Rockets as weapons, as they can kill the Enemies with those. Gather as many Enemies as possible, before using the Serious Bomb.
Cannon Expert
Pierce at least 10 enemies with a single cannonball.
I recommend starting Grand Cathedral on Tourist. Pick up the Cannon, and run around while the Enemies spawn. Do not kill any of the Enemies until there's a large swarm of them. When you're surrounded by a sufficient amount, start blasting.
Mine's bigger than yours
Destroy an enemy cannon with your own cannon.
I recommend obtaining this achievement in Grand Cathedral. After turning around two corners, the Enemy cannons are placed on top of the wall at the very end. Simply kill one of them with your Cannon. If you forgot about it and killed them normally, you have another chance killing a Rotating Cannon between the two red Scorpions just before reaching the bouncing room.
SS:BFE (SS3)
Spamming the Use key
These achievements are all related to performing close-up melee attacks (Use-key) throughout the game. Focus on these achievements in the beginning of the game, when the Enemies are weak and you haven't found your weapons yet.

Useful Trophy
Kill an enemy with a gib torn from another enemy.
It is recommended to obtain in the first level. Weaken a Rocketeer with the Pistol. Rip out another Rocketeers heart and throw it at the weakened Rocketeer. Repeat until death.
Ophthalmologist
Remove 10 Gnaar eyes.
Cardian Surgeon
Rip out 10 Rocketeer hearts.
Kleer Wrestler
Tear off 10 Kleer heads.
Load of Scrap
Tear Scrapjack's head off.
Stand somewhat close to the Scrapjack while getting his health down to red. Once his health is low enough, he will hunch over for a couple of seconds. While he is hunched over, run up to him from the front and rip his head off with the Use-key melee attack.
Arachnophobia
Rip 10 Juvenile spiders apart.
Bug Hunt
Squash 10 Hatchling spiders.
Scorpion Slayer
Break 10 Arachnoid necks.
Chiropractor
Break 10 Cloned Soldier necks.
Kung fu Fighter
Perform all possible finishing moves in the game.
Rip a Gnaar's eye out, a Beheaded Rocketeer's heart out, a Kleer's head off, a Scrapjack's face off, a Juvenile Antaresian Spider's casing off, squash a Hatchling Antaresian Spider, and break a Hatchling Arachnoid and Cloned Soldier's neck.

Active achievements:
Classic Outfit
Find Sam's classic outfit.
Can be found in Summer in Cairo, shortly after spawning. Follow this 1 minute video for success:
Circle of Death
Kill at least 3 enemies in one spinning Sledgehammer attack.
Can be obtained in Summer in Cairo just after finding the helicopter. A lot of Rocketeers will spawn. Try to run around until they are standing close enough for you to run inbetween them and spin (R-key on default computer settings)
Berserker
Kill 3 enemies in one sprint with the Sledgehammer.
Can be obtained in Summer in Cairo just after finding the helicopter. A lot of Rocketeers will spawn. Run around until you find 3 Rocketeers standing in a line. Charge and kill them while holding down sprint.
Trick Shot
Kill the kicked enemy while it is still in the air.
When wearing any shotgun, or the pistol, you can kick a Cloned Soldier back a short distance. Kill the soldier before it reaches the ground. Can be obtained in Summer in Cairo,
Apprentice Egyptologist
Decipher an Egyptian text.
Can be obtained in Summe in Cairo just after finding the helicopter. In the corridor between the helicopter area and the courtyard, there is an Egyptian text on the wall. Walk close to it and stare at it for a couple of seconds.
Up Close and Personal
Gib 20 enemies from close range with a shotgun.
This one is self explanatory. Get very close to 20 enemies and blast them with a shotgun.
Clay Pigeons
Kill 5 Cave Demons while they're in air.
Is first encountered in Unearthing the Sun. I recommend wearing a Shotgun, and standing still in a corner. That way, the Cave Demons will jump straight at you giving you the opportunity to one-tap them in the air.
Killer Jewelry
Kill an enemy using the Mutilator.
After obtaining the Mutilator in the Sixth level, The Silent Riddler, wear the Mutilator (worn in the hand slot) and hold down your mouse button on the first Enemy you encounter until he/she/it explodes.
Rodeo Surfer
Use the Mutilator to surf after a Werebull.
The mutilator is obtained in the sixth level (The Silent Riddler). When a Werebull is charging you, swap to the Mutilator (worn on the hand slot), and let the bull charge right past you. Just as it charges past, hold down your mouse button to charge the Mutilator on the Werebull. This should work as a lasso around its neck, allowing you to be pulled along the Werebull's path.
Maintenance time
Blow a Major Biomechanoid into pieces.
The Major Biomechanoid is the large, red, rocket launching robot. The robot needs to explode by C4. It is easiest to obtain in the last level, Guardian of Time, where you have a large supply of C4 and Biomechanoids. Throw 4-5 C4's onto its body and let it explode. Can also be obtained in Co-op, where they appear more frequently.
PVP
There are two achievements related to PVP. One for fragging 100 players total and one for winning a Versus match. I recommend loading up a deathmatch with the frag limit of 100 with one friend, and simply slaughter that one friend 100 times. If your friends wants the achievement aswell, let him maul you right after. This should take care of both PvP achievements.
Survival
Play the map Deep Hole. Run around in a circle without killing the Kleers. Take out the Cannon and kill the Werebulls without hitting the Kleers. You can kill the Mechanoids to make it easier but its not necessary.

Bird hunter is only in TSE. There is no sniper rifle in TFE.

You can just walk up to scrapjack and meele him instantly you do not need to stun or damage him.
