Introduction
This guide will help players to better understand the mechanics of pricing in the game, to understand how to trade and earn Krowns.

Prices in the game are influenced by various bonuses and parameters. They are described in the section "Bonuses affecting the price of items".

Base (Buyout) price - the price of buying an item from a merchant.
Sale price - the price of selling an item by a player.
The table below describes the base and sale prices for some categories of items.

Explanation and clarification:
1. Trade Goods. If you buy Silver in the location producing Silver, its price will be 100 Krowns, if you sell it in the same location, its price will be 70 Krowns.
Trade Goods are unique goods, the far away from their production center, the more expensive they are. The highest prices for trade goods are in locations as far away from their production centers as possible.
There are 5 centers of production:
  • Arthes, Cortia.
  • Tiltren, Stromkapp.
  • Ludern, Garussa Clan.
  • Vertruse, Marheim.
  • Drombach, New-Asthel.
This is why the locations Grinmeer, Saint-Septimus District Market and Arthes. Edoranian Border Crossing have higher base prices, as these locations are not production centers.

2. Prices for all goods (except Trade Goods), cannot be higher than 90%, without the "could sell anything to anyone" companios starting bonuses.

3. You can increase prices on items that you have created yourself by 50% with the "Trade Fair" resolution (enabled in the camp inventory "Banner"). This is a very important bonus when trading created items.

4. All merchants have an infinite pool of Krowns. Therefore, any number of goods can be sold to merchants.
Trade Goods trading
Trade Goods - special items in the game that are purchased for the purpose of resale.

There are 4 levels of trading the Trade Goods.
  1. Starting. You buy the Trade Goods in the main city of the starting location and take them to the edge of the region to sell them at a higher price.
  2. Normal. You buy the Trade Goods and take it to a city in another region to sell it.
  3. Advanced. You buy the Trade Goods and sell it in a location with a better price.
  4. Professional. You buy the Trade Goods and sell it in the location with the best price. Sometimes you will have to wait for a trade caravan at that location to do this.
Bonuses affecting prices can be found in the section: "Bonuses affecting the price of items".
Prices and locations for purchasing the Trade Goods can be found in the section: "Purchase of Trade Goods".
In the section "Locations for the sale of Trade Goods" you will find prices and locations for selling the Trade Goods.

Important locations for selling and buying the Trade Goods are marked on the map. You will read more about them later in the guide.

Profit from the sale of weapons and armor
In the section we will calculate the most profitable item to create.
We will disregard common components and only look at rare materials used in item creation.

The Krown/Rare material ratio for items will be calculated as follows:
(Base sale price (with resolution "Trade Fair")) / (Number of Rare Material) = Krown/Rare material ratio.
The higher the ratio, the greater the benefit.

Important! When improving weapons with alchemy with the Left-hand Specialists bonus, you out of 3 weapons, you get 4 weapons.

Ghost Breastplate and Ghost Throwing Sickle

The rarest component for Ghost Armor/Weapon is White Leather.
Light/Medium/Heavy armor requires 6/6/4 components of the White Leather.
Heavy armor needs 4 components of the White Leather and throwing weapons require 1 component of the White Leather, this is what we use in the calculations.
The Krown/Rare material ratio for the Ghost Breastplate: 198/4 = 50.
The Krown/Rare material ratio for the Ghost Breastplate★★★: 261/4 = 65
You need 1 component of White Leather for 4 items of Left-hand weapon.
The Krown/Rare material ratio for the Ghost Throwing weapon will be: 12*4/1 = 48
The Krona/Rare Material ratio for the Petrifying Ghost Throwing weapon will be: 24*(16)/3 = 128.
Total: 48 < 50-65 < 128

Weapon and Armour Trade Summary
To trade successfully you need the following 3 crafts: Alchemist, Miner, Blacksmith.
They must have a certain level. For example to work with Akhedian Steel they must be a master.

Best item to sell: Left-hand weapon improved by alchemy.
If you're not going to improve it with alchemy, then it's better to create armor.

Be sure to sell with resolution "Trade Fair" enabled for more profit.

Bean, thank you!
I don't use fast travel. Therefore, I cannot advise or tell anything about such routes.
I have about 40+ ponies in my squad with bonuses for speed, etc., so I move very quickly without fast travel.
Bean 7 Mar, 2024 @ 9:39pm
Thank you so much for the maps and locations of optimal buyers / sellers. once you have established trade routes, I have seen you can use them to fast travel, but there is a trade goods tax. Do you know if those longer routes, like Vertuse to Cortia - Brotherhood, would still be profitable with the trade tax?
Thank you, again, this is quite helpful
