Reverting To Original Build

Go To Your Library
Right-Click "Half-Life"
Click "Properties"
Click "Betas"
Next to the "Beta Participation" option click the dropdown/combo box and select "steam_legacy - Pre-25th anniversary build"
Wait for the download to finish

Playing Your Favorite Games

Just like you always used to do before the update just go and start playing your game

Switching Back To Anniversary Build

Like in the first section follow the steps below

Go To Your Library
Right-Click "Half-Life"
Click "Properties"
Click "Betas"
Next to the "Beta Participation" option click the dropdown/combo box and select "None"
Wait for the download to finish
Done

Final Word

Valve mentioned this issue in their patch notes and until we don't have an update that addresses this issue this method is the only one that works for now. Thanks for reading my guide I hope I was able to help you out

EDIT: Counter-Strike 1.6 doesn't require this anymore

What branch are you using?
Did you verify integrity of game cache for Opposing Force?

i try to play hl opposing force but its just opens halflife

@gael This is an odd situation
@randalij87 I didn't try that but in theory it should work without any workarounds
@DES@NT 5.0 Did you play CS 1.6? or any other game? If it was CS then you don't need to do this anymore
