Clear a room without using Focus


If you're having trouble with this achievement, go to the weapon nun and have your enemies switch to only pistols. Having enemies use only pistols makes it easier to dodge bullets.

Sonic
Roll over 100 times


Freerunner
Vault over 50 times


I didn't know Vaulting was a thing (and I assume the average player knew either due to the achievements rarity). To vault, simply roll over on any one furniture as shown on the right. To do this quick and dirty, just keep vaulting on one individual furniture back and forth until it pops.

Slappers Only
Clear a room by only kicking


If you're having trouble with this achievement, speak to the Nun at the bar or beach and chose your enemies to use only pistols. As the same reason with the No Time achievement, pistols are easier for you to dodge!

Grenadier
Kill 50 enemies with grenades


Ninja
Kill 50 enemies with kunai


Both Grenades and Kunais are weapons dropped by enemies or found randomly on the ground. Simply pick it up (Each both will take up your gun slot) and throw them at enemies. The Ninja achievement would most likely be easiest (because you can reuse it over and over). Just like the the Slappers Only achievement, you can speak to the Nun at the bar or beach and chose your enemies to use only pistols to dodge bullets easier (These weapons are the only few that the Nun doesn't affect).

Heads Up
Kill an enemy with a thrown magazine



Another feature most of the community doesn't know about about. When you reload a gun you can kill an enemy when your tossing the magazine. When reloading go up to an enemy with your player models left arm facing the soon to be dead enemy. It's a bit tricky, so I'd recommend you to switch enemy weapons to pistols and abuse the focus meter. A visual example of the kill is shown on the left.


Exegesis
Order the ANIMAL drink at the bar


During or at the beginning of any run you can find a drink called ANIMAL for sale. Simply buy the drink and the achievement unlocks.

You can do this achievement kind of dirty by instead of spending money and time of re-rolling/playing the game to hope to find this drink, you can get enough money to buy this drink and keep saving and quitting at the bar to re-roll for free. It's time consuming but you'll definitely get it after a while.

The description of the drink:

Every bullet eases the pain. Hurting enemies heals you slightly.

This achievement would seem to be the most random achievement to most people. But this achievement and the drink itself is both a reference to a cancelled standalone mod for the original Hotline Miami known as "Midnight Animal".



Door Stuck
Kill 15 enemies with doors without dying


Kill 15 enemies by kicking doors down while they are nearby? To be honest, I have only an idea what counts as a door kill, but after playing a couple runs with this mindset I eventually got this achievement naturally. But what confuses me the most, is that this achievement unlocked for me when I accidentally killed someone from what I think was a piece of the door? It could've also been a delayed achievement. If anyone can help me define a door kill let me know!

Fisherman
Go fishing


A very annoying, boring, and initially confusing achievement (IN MY OPINION), This is RNG heavy and be prepared to play the game for several hours for the game to even get the fishing rod. You have to find the Lighthouse Misplaced Chamber (a misplaced chamber is one of those weird chambers you go to after some missions that have no enemies, weapons, bosses, etc, with sometimes a "corrupted" person in it). I unfortunately, do not have a picture of the chamber, as I have quickly got the chamber on my first hour playing this game. (I will update if I ever get the picture of the Lighthouse Chamber.)



Once you found it and completed the run (or died) go to the beach and go to your right. You will see a new npc right by a boat. Talk to him and he will give you a fishing rod.
This will give you the opportunity to let you fish on the beach! Now this mechanic isn't really complex, but it is really vague. As you fish you can tell there is ripples in the water.

This ripple means nothing and you should just ignore it.

Now this ripple above is the one you want. You need to reel in as soon as you see it or the fish won't be caught. But if done quickly enough, you should see the fish AND the achievement should pop! You can also cook the fish for some cash if desired!

Collector
Collect everything from the gachapon machines


Full Arsenal
Collect all guns


In order to collect these achievements you have to go to any Misplaced Chamber and find a gachapon machine. And for the small price of 250 you can start gambling! You'll either get collectables or weapons, but never duplicates. I got these achievements on sober runs (because coins are useless on those), so I got it with relative ease.

Investor
Unlock all drinks


Each time you go to the bar and look to the upper left corner of the bar you find a woman sitting on the couch. Simply talk to her and buy all of the drinks. I wouldn't recommend doing this achievement on sober runs, due to the fact that the drinks will apply as soon as you unlock it. Luckily Vardy's guide (linked directly above) still is applicable to this achievement!

Man's Best Friend
Play fetch


To unlock this achievement, you must unlock the dog at the beach. To unlock the dog, you have to drink the ROXY drink at the bar. Just like the Exegesis achievement, you can prevent wasting time on playing/re-rolling. Simply save and quit at the bar to re-roll the drinks at the bar for free. Once you drunk the ROXY drink, you can go back to the beach.

The description of the drink:

Get an attack dog. Won't help in boss fights.

When you wake up at the beach you can find a dog with a stick on your left (right by the fisherman from the Fisherman achievement). Simply pick up the stick a and throw it (like how you'd throw a kunai and a grenade). Then the achievement will pop!

Unmasked
Destroy the Heart


Beat the game once.

Achieving the Impossible
Clear a run on Impossible Mode


Beat the game once, to unlock impossible mode. Then beat the game on Impossible mode.

Sober
Clear a full run without taking any drinks


Beat the game, without getting any drinks from the bar

These achievements are really simple to understand, but hard to achieve. I am not the best at giving out tips, but there quite amount of tips and strats in steams discussion tab.

The following information will help with mainly boss fights and the normal rooms if you feel like it. The ethics for these exploits are questionable, so if you feel uncomfortable doing these, now's the time to skip to the next chapter of the guide.

For starters, you can restart boss fights without restarting a run, by saving and quitting right before you die, and/or backing up your save.

This video helped me realized that the games fps is also linked to the games physics. This might sound useless, but you can limit the fps ingame with changing some computer settings. This will make the game run on a sudo focus mode. To do this you must:

1. Save and quit the run you are on, then shut down the game.
   
2. Open you GPU drivers (in my case NVIDIA control panel) and limit the game to around 20-25fps.
   
3. Then boot up the game and save. You can tinker with the fps, but you have to exit and re-enter the game to see the updated effect.
   
4. To revert this simply save and quit the run, and un-limit the games fps.

NOTE: I have no idea if this works for AMD and Intel GPU's for I don't own either. So please let me know if it works and send me the method you used, so I can update this guide accordingly.
