New Player also support more customizable configurations and command line, including more resolutions, wide screen support and unlimit frame rate. Read the full overview of this patch on it's official github page[github.com].

Example "Player.ini" and list of available options

If your game still has black bars on the sides, even when you set the UnlockWidescreen value to 1,
download this file[mega.nz] and put it in SteamApps\common\Ballance\RenderEngines.

Your game should now be running perfectly fine in Fullscreen/Wide resolution

Second part because it was over 1000 characters:

(basically the same as the picture in the guide)

I didn't edit the "CK2_3D.ini" file so that shouldn't bring any problems.

So, it work's fine i downloaded the two files but the button collision is off.

Basically i have to put the mouse elsewhere for the game to register that i am hovering above the button.

Do i have to change anything/download anything else for the button collision to work good? (i mean the collision of buttons in the menu screen and in the pause screen)

So basycally the small Yes/No dialog is broken but the other one's are pretty much unaffected.

Also here are the settings that i have in the "Player.ini" file:
[Startup]
ManualSetup=0
LoadAllManagers=1
LoadAllBuildingBlocks=1
LoadAllPlugins=1
[Graphics]
Driver=0
BitsPerPixel=32
Width=1920
Height=1080
FullScreen=1
UnlockFramerate=1
UnlockWidescreen=1
UnlockHighResolution=1

DisableFilter=0
DisableDithering=0
DisableMipmap=0
DisableSpecular=0
[Window]
ChildWindowRendering=0
Borderless=1
AlwaysHandleInput=0
PauseOnDeactivated=0
X=32767
Y=32767

Thank you so much for this. Older Player.exe patches have started to break on newer versions of Windows, a new patch was much needed. High refresh rate is really nice as well

Strange. For me it's techincally widescreen as mouse is moveing to left and right parts, but I hve balck bars.

Original was just 3:4 with locking mouse.

But I'm at Linix so I guess that's the issue.

Try setting UnlockFramerate to 0 (as shown on the image above)

I didn't edit any text. I know how to edit these types of files, the game just fully broke because now it's running at 5000FPS... Before instaling this I didn't have the black bars and now I do, even if I changed the resolution to the one of my monitor
