Tweaks / Mods To Make Bulletstorm VR Clearer & Sharper
Bulletstorm VR updated Bulletstorm to Unreal Engine 4.27.2 before adding VR support and so the modding potential / ability to tweak things are endless!

One thing that makes a huge difference to the clarity is uses Unreal Engine’s sharpening pass. You can do this by either adding `r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=4` to the game’s engine.ini (or use a higher number or lower if you want more or less) or you can type this in the game’s console with `r.Tonemapper.Sharpen 4` (no equal sign).

If you want to enter it through the console, you’ll need to use a mod injector that re-enables the console. I usually use UUU for quick access to the console, but for some reason, when you load a level, the console using the tilde key doesn’t show. Instead, I recommend using: https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS

UE4SS is a powerful Unreal Engine modding framework. In addition to letting you browse all the game’s blueprints, write Lua scripts, etc. it auto-enables the game’s console. Press F10 to open the console with it (you’ll need to enable the modding abilities in UE4SS’s ini if you want those). Just copy UE4SS next to the game’s actual exe (not the shortcut one in the root of the game folder).

The other thing that I recommend if you’re running the game at a higher super sampling is to disable TAA (anti-aliasing). To do this, you can enter `r.PostProcessAAQuality=0` or `r.PostProcessAAQuality 0` in the console. This really makes the game look MUCH much sharper.

If you want to tweak the game further with just console commands, I’ve dumped a list of all the game’s console commands here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yDq1-2AVPLXrLXgFEXBtgbMMzshUuoRPLIlxR2lAvxE/

Let me know if anyone has any questions or issues! If you have issues putting in those console commands, I could easily make a .pak mod to drop in that auto-sets it for you.

BONUS: If you need to edit your controller rotation (I did for my Pimax Crystal), this app is really handy: https://github.com/aruametello/openxr_loader-dll-proxy/releases/latest
