Description
"I stand astride two paths - but try as I might to choose, I can only tread the verge."
-Viuriel, Genecrossed Pariah.

NOTE: Update 1.5.0 has changed the ID of every tile. If your character has been affected, please regain their tile using one of the methods below!

This mod requires Kernelmethod's Choose Your Fighter

CYF Expansion - Genecrossed adds 16 custom player tiles for use with Choose Your Fighter, based on an idea I have involving a genotype that combines Mutated Humans and True Kin.

Once subscribed, these tiles can be found in the "customize" portion of character creation (where you write your character's name) in the CYF tile selection menu under "Expansions", or by changing your tile in-game by visiting a gutsmonger, downloading and using Kernelmethod's Magic Mirror mod, or by wishing for "chooseyourfighter:change".

For best results, disable "Color your character's glyph based on health status" under the "UI" section of the options menu.

Primary (the default is grey) and detail colours can be changed in-game by finding and using a Box of Crayons (detail only) or a Tattoo Gun on yourself, or by using Null_Error's Appearance Change Wish.

Enjoy.

-Mephril.

@Tiareth A physical floating ring, a halo, a symbol of omnipotence... Whatever you'd like it to be.

What is that semicircle behind the Omnimancer's head?

@Frank Hi - it's fine for now, but in the future it's generally more polite to ask first.

Hi, I took your Apotropaist tile and edited it a bunch to use for my custom genotype mod cause it's a really great design, wanted to check if that's okay with you, credited you in the description of course. If not let me know and I'll remove it.

@JL06 Depends on the tile. When I first put together the Genecrossed, it was moreso a blanket term referring to anything with both mutations and cybernetics. I imagined them as outcasts and wanderers, hence their tattered clothing, and they wear masks to disguise their unique or abhorrent genes.
Expatriate, for example, is based on the Murmurs; while the Neuropath is based on the more sociopathic actions one could take in Qud - perhaps literally rewiring someone's brain. Ultimately, it's up to the player to decide what their lore could be.

So what would be the lore of genecrossed?

@Radical Rat - Thank you.
@Never Lucky - I'm currently working on adding a player tile for every mutation, as well as a few extra for the chimerically-inclined. They won't be a perfect match for everybody (because everyone's hand-crafted abomination is unique and special), but perhaps some of them, once they release, might be what you're looking for.

Heck yeah. Need more of these tilesets, and need to try my hand at Qud modding. Wish theyd just add a character tile editor into the game so i can update my monstrosities
