Simple Stutter Fix (NVIDIA)
By Swuohp
This is a simple guide to help players that suffer from stutter and frame drops in game.

- NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL

1. Vertical sync = "Fast"

2. Virtual Reality Pre Rendered Frames = "3"

You can set this to whatever you find best. "2", "3", "4" are most likely to give you less frame drops

3. Threaded Optimization = "Off"

This setting can help with people who use logical cores, especially with Ryzen CPU's.

- IN GAME SETTINGS

1. Windowed Mode = "Borderless Window"

If you find yourself with less frames than before switch it back to "Fullscreen".

2. Auto Detect Best Rendering System = "Off"

This can lower your graphics settings.
Good to use if your not sure what Graphic settings your system can handle.

3. Effects = "Medium"

If you find your system can run this on "High", than keep it. Otherwise turn it down.
This is a big culprit to frame drops during certain boss battles and open world areas.

4. Grass = "Medium"

This can help with open world areas.
i prefer this setting as you don't see the grass render right in front of you.

5. Anti-Aliasing = Off

You have to turn this off every time you restart the game but it is worth it if you don't have enough frames
( i also think it looks better )

---------------------------------------------------------
Another thing that can help, is GPU Usage.
A good GPU with low % Usage can result in it fluctuating to much and causing hitches and or frame drops.

To POSSIBLY fix this all you have to do is set certain graphic settings Higher.

Elden Ring is very CPU and RAM intensive so don't be surprised if it does not work.

If you KNOW. GPU usage is the #1 culprit to your stutters, than using the NIVDIA Control panel to change Antialiasing Settings can help.
As it has with me in the past.

1. Antialiasing - Mode = "Enhance The Application Setting"

^ You can set this "Override" if You find "Enhance" Does nothing. ^

2. Antialiasing - Transparency = x2 (Supersample)

^ This can have a huge difference on Usage and Frames. So be careful not to go overboard and cause your game to lose frames.^

^ Don't necessarily just set it to X2 (SuperSample) as i said to, Every system is unique so mess around a little to find the best spot for Usage and steady frames, or just keep it off ^

Also When using these settings try turning off Antialising In-Game, you dont have to, but these settings can be heavy on performance.
