How to Fix: Game Stuttering
By Kelso
This guide explains how to fix the slow motion stuttering that happens differently for some people, either at consistent intervals or random encounters during gameplay. I personally looked at fixes online for help and this was my way of fixing it although it may not be certain to fix it for you, although it's worth a try.

Introduction
This guide shows/tells you how to fix the stuttering problem that occurs at either random intervels during gameplay or consistent ones. I will only be providing a walkthrough of the NVidia directions, because that's the graphics card type that I own myself and it's the only assured fix I can give.

I also have a Windows 7 OS so that's the only visual instructions type I can give, although I'd be suprised to see it's very different on other Windows OS.

I will try to keep this up to date as much as possible with updates not only on NVidia and Windows 7 fixes but extra information and instructions I gain for other types of Graphics Cards and OS. I will most likely only look for a new on however if I'm asked for it.
Instructions
This shows you how to access the NVidia Control Panel to be able to edit your NBA 2K15 video settings.

(Windows 7 Visual Instructions)

• Step One:

First you'll want to get to the control panel by going on the Windows startup menu and selecting Control Panel.

• Step Two:

Next, go on the Hardware and Sound section, this will take you to the NVidia Control Panel section, because the graphics card is part of your hardware.

• Step Three:

If you're using an NVidia Graphics Card for sure, then the NVidia Control Panel will appear underneath your Display section most likely, then you'll want to click on this.

• Step Four:

Make sure you are on the Manage 3D Settings section of the control panel and then NBA 2K15 didn't appear for me on the list of games, and probably won't for you either, so click onto the add button underneath program settings and next to the remove button.

• Step Five:

If you have recently played the game then it will be on your recently used programs, otherwise you will have to manually find it by browsing through your steam folder - it will be under common games in your SteamApps. Once you have found it hten you want to click 'Add Selected Program'.

• Step Six:

The final step is just to choose these settings:

• Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance
• Triple Buffering: On
• Vertical Sync: On

Extra Information & Instructions
IMPORTANT: NBA 2K15 does not support AMD drivers very well, as when my game starrted crashing I send a support ticket to 2K Games to which they replied with them saying that AMD drivers tend to cause crashes or problems with the NBA 2K game.

Here are extra steps you can take on the game itself, although I haven't done them myself and it still works fine:

Go to options and do these settings:

• Special Effects: Off
• Crowd Detail: Low

Clinzh (http://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/profiles/76561198016781720) Suggested:
• Type %appdata% in the search bar on the windows start menu. Then find the 2K Sports Folder and open it. After this open the NBA2K15 folder and open the VideoSettings file from the folder and change SUPERSAMPLE = 1 to SUPERSAMPLE = 0.
• Try using the Game Booster Application whilst playing. http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.php
• Set High Priority for NBA 2K15 in Task Manager

(Windows 8 Suggestions):
• Find the NVidia Control Panel by going to the Windows 8 Start Menu and begin typing in Control Panel. Go to apps, and click on Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound. Then NVidia Control Panel. The rest of the Windows 7 instructions should be very similar or the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqtcO74KK-A

• To find the %appdata% folder you go onto the Windows 8 Start Menu again, this time type in %appdata% and go into the folder to find the 2K Sports folder.

(ATi Graphics Card Suggestions):
• Try installing the latest DirectX or reinstalling the one found in the NBA2K15 Steam Folder.
• Install the latest updates for your Catalyst Control Center.

I don't want to take all the credit myself, as I had to do research online to get this fix. These are websites that I visited:

http://www.operationsports.com/forums/nba-2k-pc-forum/756458-nba-2k15-system-requirements-9.html
http://guide4games.net/nba-2k15-pc-fixes-stuttering-errors-lag-blue-screen-issues/
http://segmentnext.com/2014/10/08/nba-2k15-crashes-errors-freezes-graphics-and-performance-fixes/

Not all of them helped, and the only one I would consider helpful was the OperationSports link. However, my guide fully explains what these websites suggest to do for this fix. The other two sites also present fixes for other issues that I haven't experienced myself.

@StefanTheConqueror different account? Says you don't own any NBA games. The games outdated now anyway by 3 games, so might just be doesn't recognise new drivers, I have no clue. Make sure you've done all the other steps though, turning down certain settings is key as even people that ran the game with great PC setups had stuttering problems.

@Kelso Im going to try it out and see if it dosent happens anymore.

@LetsMetal Have you tried everything in the extra information section? If none of that works, I'm not sure there's much help. I myself have an AMD processor and when I contacted 2K Support about my game crashing they stated that my AMD processor was most likely the cause of the crashes as NBA 2K15 doesn't support much AMD hardware.

@Striker Eureka do the steps in the extra information & instructions section.
@jediboyejb If you don't have NVIDIA either the only thing I can say is to do the steps in the extra information & instructions and you can still do the steps you mentioned if you don't have an NVIDIA card. I don't know if it's a perfect fix or whether it fixes it at all but I've heard it helps some people out with the problem a little.
